I’m currently playing this sonata in my repertoire and have seen countless versions. This is by far the best I’ve seen, including those by Kissin and Barenboim, both of whom are great inspirations for me. Her control gives the illusion of her hands gliding across the keyboard and her tonality is unmatched.
This a masterpiece of sonority and sublimity in a small scale. But most of all a proof of what Elisabeth Brauss can do with the music she plays. As if she has the ability to change this music from something earthly to something divine, or to something that is both earthly and divine at the same time.

According to contemporary reports, Mozart himself played in a staccato fashion, not legato. Elisabeth's playing charts a fine balance, full of lovely spirit.
Interesting. These contemporary reports I have never heard of. But I think you are right and I also love Elisabeth´s playing. More the legato way, perhaps.
