Today, We Are Collecting 1000 Ancient Debris In Survival Minecraft. What is the best method for mining Netherite/Ancient debris and how long will it take us? We tried it out and the result is.... we got a thousand of them.

A friend of mine once decided to make a full netherite beacon (5904 ancient debris) on my server. He managed to do it in about 4 months. I helped him from time to time and I am sick of seeing netherite :D
Me and my server tried to do this, it took us less than a month because there was more than 5 of us.
@@ge0ff24 my friend did it without taking breaks and the afk time counts as well. I only helped him with about 2% of the work so the guy is really a legend

Moral of the video : Make sure to wear complete set of armor when mining using TNT especially in the Nether. It really hard to watch the item burn in lava even tho you guys have a lot of spare of it

But mobility is the main issue, wearing a chestplate guarantees you insane protection but then you lack the inablility to easily glide to places. I've tried the same thing in my world and i blew up 2 stacks with elytra first and the other 2 stacks with a chestplate instead. The one with the elytra was way more enjoyable and easy. Depends on what you do, if you aim for full netherite before the dragon fight then you have protection ready beforehand
@@legendracer4861 Then you either have to play it safer and take longer to start mining or just deal with the lack of mobility. I'll take my chances with no elytra personally
i like how most of the deaths in the nether could’ve been avoided by just wearing a chestplate
You want to walk through their mines or flying around with an elytra? They just cut A LOT
@@nthIngtshr just use chestplate when looking for acient debris and elytra when you fly back. its also smart to keep a fire res in your hotbar when mining
also, they are not wearing anything in the seconds, hand, the could just use a backup potion or a totem
@@ancientworld6913 They were holding torches because optifine gives lighting when you hold them in the off hand. At other times I'd guess it's for the video to have more quality
@@peon149 use a fullbright pack or have a tpack that makes the nether brighter. I dont get why they dont use their totems they got in their raid farm
I use a resource pack that makes ancient debris blue. It sounds weird at first, but the extra contrast goes a long way when it comes to spotting my netherite.

@@11drop I would rather use a resource pack to locate the debris than to fly at mach-10 speed through the tnt hole and trying to find the brown block surrounded by netherrack

Netherite is overrated in my opinion
The guy put !. to make the accurate tone of voice
Netherite armour offers the same level of protection as diamond armour, netherite is more durable, survives in lava and is more resistant to knockback
If you have unbreaking 3 and mending on your diamond armour then durability becomes a non issue, and the netherite surviving in lava is only beneficial if you don't know how to live or don't carry totems
Knockback resistance might be worth it, but yeah Netherite is overrated IMO + looks less nice as diamond
If you want to prevent the whole dying to vexes thing with the raid farm, you can add boats around where the illagers are dropped - these boats will catch the vexes and hold them until they despawn (vexes spawned by evokers only last around 3 minutes)

Still really hoping you do that glass chunk idea I had a few months back.
Replace every visible block with its corresponding glass color. Then remove every single other block.
Replace lava with orange glass, water with blue, diamonds with light blue, deep slate with dark gray, stone with light gray, etc...
that would be amazing to look at!
@@cozi8097 yeah. They liked the comment when I posted it a couple months ago so I know they saw it. One day it'll happen I hope. I could do it on my own, but I'd be the only one to see it and I don't want that.

@@BrickyBoi no. Then you couldn't look down and see it. The idea is to be able to walk over it and look down and see all of the caves. You can do that with wool.

I found it when I accidentaly landed on top of a bastion chest when looking for a way to get out of it😅
Just go to level 15, and then blow up beds well using fire res. It will get you quite a bit very quickly (without needing lots of gunpowder and it’s fairly mid-game
you could start mining it within like an hour of a new seed if you find a lava pool and a few diamonds in a blacksmith chest, just make a staircase down near your portal and start going in a straight line
@@michaelfarrington9314 The problem with beds or TNT is that lava always seeps through everywhere. I actually prefer strip mining, with tunnels being two blocks apart from eachother. If you encounter a lava source, block it off and continue in another row. Especially when doing this under big land masses in the Nether, you can dig pretty long tunnels, and netherrack breaks instantly with a good pickaxe, so within one or two hours you can get full netherite equipment.

I got my first 16 pieces of netherite today. All strip mining, took me around 15 minutes. It's an underrated method.

6:12 is a pro gamer move, although im surprised u place tnt every 2nd block, when i was mining debris i always did 3blocks of gap between tnts so they just get in reach of each other when blowing up and it decrases the use of tnt by half with not really that much blocks less exploded

Just a tip, you can space your charges further apart and save on the TNT, you'll still get sympathetic detonation with three empty blocks between them in most cases.

How many gigabytes does your guys' server have? Seeing how it never lags and runs so well with all these massive builds and farms.
I guess 8 gb is enough
Depends on playercount and mods used. 2-4 for vanilla is fine, max 6-8 for heavily modded stuff. Too much ram is actually not recommended due to resulting lag spikes
even 1 gb ram can handle the needs for a 2-5 player vanilla server
@@DEFINITE444 actually they have built a few heavy farms such as stacking raid farm and 1 gb can't handle that most probably a server with 4 gb or 8gb ram has been bought not all is used

@@angtranhuyanh2800 getting chestplate over elytra is not worth. Because even without chestplate you get enough protection.

instead of doing a lot of tnt you can look for netherite in preparing the tnt machine

A TNT duping flying machine works too. I believe Mumbai Jumbo provides tutorials on those.

hey! first of all i really like your videos, and keep up the good work. second, i suggest you place tnt 5-4 blocks apart, and you will save so much tnt. because when the tnt explodes, it will make its max blast radius it can, also lighting the other tnt without making it go low.

You can use Totems of Undying from your Emerald farm! (When totem is activeted it gives you fire resistance!)

I never bother with netherite because it's just such a hassle. I can do with diamond gear, plus I'm never going back to the overworld. I'm making the End my home forever. I have dropped 2 of every mobs into the End like Noah. I am self-sustaining in the end.

you can use a smithing table to get full neterite and tools. you only need one ingot per item.

I would have used beds, easier to farm and (maybe) bigger blast in the nether. That's how I mine netherite in my worlds

@@stefano9938 Well you place the TNT manually every time, but it blows automatically. The thing with beds is that it lights everything on fire and it's not even worth it, because just using a pickaxe is faster.

Build a custom beacon with iron blocks and glass, with maybe something around it

To answer the question... long story short. It takes long as each ancient debris is clustered in a specific level of depth in the nether like diamonds/ emeralds, the thing is there is only 1-4 ancient debris each cluster and there is a average of 1-2 clusters per chunk, as a chunk is a 16x16 block area, to cover that much space you must need a mass destructor or a lot of patience, if you compute it. It is 62 chunks to be checked which takes a lot of time to check especially when you are not using any thing good to mine netherrack quickly, (diamond eff 5 pick w/ a haste beacon). but tnt is a great mass destructor as it explodes in a time limit with you having time to back away before exploding, but if you are feeling risky try beds/crystals a great mass destructor as it creates a big crator once interacted.
in conclusion
1: there are 1-4 ancient debris each cluster
2: there is 1-2 cluster(s) in one chunk making 62 chunks to be checked
3: mass destructos like a diamond pick with eff 5 and haste beacons, tnt, beds and, end crystals can make the proccess easier to find them
4: this is completely useless info but i wanted to put it in anyway cuz i thought it would be funny (CLEARLY NOT)
