Also forgot to mention, the reason why they added such a low speed was for aesthetics. A lot of fan collectors love a slow low speed. So for this to have an aesthetic low, they love it more. Another reason being is that if it’s on updraft, it can put the heat in the ceiling down the walls without creating a draft.
When Casablanca first started. The fans were for aesthetics, they had one speed and it was slow. I guess they never moved away from that, even when they made them more functional.
The blade sets are the B592 Hi-Gloss Antique Oak blades. Would look a whole lot better with the peach rings, but it's still looking good. I have one from 1992 in Snow White/Chrome with the Home Depot model number, the halogen fitter, longer standoffs, and the acrylic rings, but the middle and top acrylic rings has a crack near the threads when I first got it.
You’re right with the blades, I totally forgot to put it in the description. I got this glass for free from a local store so I wasn’t going to complain. I actually prefer it like this, I never saw it till I installed this one.
I absolutely love your Saturn! Flik mode is a awesome feature. Brass and copper go so well together! Mine should be up on Wednesday.
Cool! Forgot this had the Flik mode.
Haha? Every fan where the light turns on when you turn the power on, that’s how you know it has flik mode.
@@kaysonthefancollector8826 I never knew that! Cool!
Yours is from 1987, right?
@@kaysonthefancollector8826 yup
I love this fan and I have one just like this I got for Christmas
I think we all know lmao

Also, speed 2 is the real Casablanca low. Speed 3 to me is a bit too fast for a low speed.

I also have more info, the Saturn can go up to 150W, just like the halogen star
@@kaysonthefancollector8826 oh cool! That would kick the brightness up a notch.
For sure.
