- After waiting 9 years the EFX Scout Trooper Legend Edition Helmet is here! EFX Collectibles made two versions, a Limited Edition made of fiberglass and a Legend Edition made with ABS Plastic like the screen used Scout Trooper helmets.
In this vide I unbox the legend and show you the helmet, the End bunker base and the autograph plaque signed by Nilo Rodis-Jamero. These are limited to 500.
In the second half of the video I compare the Legend Scout Trooper helmet with the Limited Edition Scout Trooper Helmet.

Thank you brother for the amazing review! I also was one of the first sitting overseas at 3am in the morning to get my hand on one of them cuz I thought it going to be sold out in a second! Yeah now we are here 9 years later and yeah I was so pissed on Efx and Bryan but I really have to admit Larry L. is rocking it! He responded to all my messages after few hours! Since he is in the game it’s like things going smoother than usual and yeah I can’t wait to get mine which is already on the way to Germany via FedEx! Black Series for the WIN!!
I real want the Black series helmet . If this is a reasonable price I'd get it . I love my EFX stormtrooper helmet because of the brow . Yeah I know alot of people say it's not 501st perfect but to me it's is the best helmet I have . Efx makes nice helmets but are kinda hard to find .

Too bad "Legend" is just a hollow word in this case... Disappointing
The biggest disappointment is that it's not constructed or made the same as the original helmets. I'm so glad they're finally shipping these and people are getting them. The display stand looks really awesome. However, this was sold as the ultimate, super accurate exact replica and that's not what the final product is if it's partially 3D printed. Accurate replicas from other makers have no problem at all making them correctly. The screen used helmet featured on the Star Wars Helmet website was perfectly intact and in good shape 30 years after the movie was made so I don't buy their excuse that the original processes wouldn't make for a durable replica.
As for the visor gap, RS Propmasters sells both a fiberglass and accurate vac formed helmets. The fiberglass makes zero difference whatsoever in the visor opening. The visor gap on the Limited is not excusable because it's fiberglass. If they made both helmets the same size, then the visor won't scratch the dome regardless of what material it is. I am certain if you put the Legend visor on the Limited dome it will be perfectly fine.
Yeah but all those are made by hand, the originals and RS. But when you’re having things manufactured in a factory overseas, I’m sure it gets difficult troubleshooting these little issues so they go for the easiest route. You’re very involved in the collecting space, I’m sure you know who worked on these helmets and that person can clear up any of your concerns.
That’s why unlicensed makers will always have the upper hand because they can charge very little for their helmets because they don’t have to pay for a license or have to deal with Disney/ Lucasfilm. I agree there are so many talented makers out there! But I personally prefer a licensed piece.
Guess I'll have to settle for my Black Series version.
I don’t find the gap to be an issue. On display, you’re looking at it from the front anyway. I much prefer fibreglass. At the price, plastic is a no-go. Also a head scratcher as to why they wouldn’t have done the same extras with the limited edition???
No one should be excited about this. A company that takes and holds your money for 9 years before delivering product should be out of business at the very least and refund your money, period. No one should give EFX another dime.

Great video- thanks! I’m not a fan of the weathering even though it’s based on an actual prop but just my opinion. Glad you guys got your helmets. I own a few EFX myself. So weird EFX is still in the game after Anovos was supposed to be a far superior company and was going to slap them out of existence lol

Well done episode! Thought out and executed nicely. Is there any chance you'll be commenting on EFX's upcoming Darth Vader helmets in an upcoming episode? I don't exactly understand how they're different from previous or other helmets.

Definitely not liking the paint weathering. That kills it for me even with your explanation of why they did it
I hate to sound negative but as collectors we need to stop supporting these companies that use pre orders to entice buyers into deals like this. I’ve been burnt by both Anovos and Efx in the past and as soon as a item says “PRE ORDER” it should be a clear warning to simply stay away.

Yeah, not a fan of the paint splattering. Looks visually like someone tried to use a clogged spray paint can. Very weird.
Thank God l didn't order this... however not to say it's a bad product, just in my OCD mind l couldn't deal with, the paint/weathering and the blaster.

Saying fiberglass can't be made to be right or fit right sounds ridiculous. Cars over 100k use fiberglass for near perfect fit and finish. Just admit they build a piece of crap helmet and you paid for it
