- This week I travel to Vegan Camp Out, the UK's largest vegan festival, for some vegan camping. 🌱
We tried some incredible vegan dishes, listened to some talks and music and met some awesome people that are supporting a vegan diet.

Me and the Mrs laughed so hard when we saw the back of the van after Lauren had driven. Having witnessed her driving first hand as she nearly took me out in the marina as I walked back to the car one time, we wasn’t surprised at all 😂lol!

Thanks for this Vlog! I’m going to the 1st Vegan camp out in Australia later this year. I was watching to see what to bring along really. I’ve been vegan 41yrs. From what might be perceived as a *preachy vegan* Plant based is eating nothing from an animal, whereas vegan is eating nothing from an animal and not buying any leather, fur etc..

Nice video guys, how did you find the new venue overall? Went to VCO in 2019 an 2021 in Newark, excellent experience both times. The Happy Pear lads are sound, their place in Greystones Wicklow is lovely.🌱⛺️🌅

First off, I hope you had a lovely Vegan Birthday weekend, Lauren. This festival, what little I saw, reminded me just a big like a Love-In, or a Happening that I use to go too back in the 1960's. Peace, Love, Music, Lots of Artwork, Health and Wellness Centers and of course, lots of hippies walking around nude, and having sex with strangers aka Free Love. Stay groovy and stay safe.

Gamechangers is a great documentary well worth a watch. I was vegetarian but went vegan over 6 and a half years ago when I found out about the cruelty in the dairy and egg industry. It is so much easier now .

Watched seaspiracy when it came to Netflix NOT eaten any ocean product since!! I’m afraid to watch cowspiracy cause I’m a meat eater🫣 but I have reduced from 7 days a week meat to 5 days, goal to be only 3 days a week, have no intention to be veggie or vegan, I’m the guy that was happy when Nando’s brought back chicken livers😗 and how the hell do you wake up with perfect hair Charlie, you must brush it then pretend you just woke up🤔 currently camping for 2 weeks in Devon, electric hook up👍🏻 love the outdoors with some creature comfort’s, but just to say, what you guys eat, always looks tasty, maybe I could go veggie 6 days a week 🤣

Hey mark! The tap I just bought from Facebook (you can use any tap) but the water pump is a Shurflo water pump from eBay!

I get the preaching thing Charlie, why is it vegans expect you to cater for them but they won’t cater for your tastes (dairy or meat) ? Each to their own I say, looks like you had a fun weekend 👍

This makes no sense. Vegans are against the mutilation, torture, rape and murder of innocent animals. Why would they possibly support someone else in funding that?
There’s a moral issue in that, theres no moral issue in non-vegans supporting vegan food (they already eat mostly vegan food ANYWAY)
This would be like saying - “dog lovers expect you to cater for them, but they don’t cater for dog-abusers” - well yes, obviously not, as they’re AGAINST the abuse of dogs.. lol

An interesting vlog on the vegan and now being lactose intolerant I’m eating more vegan foods cos of the milk products!!! Shame it’s so expensive to normal foods but what a choice there. 👍👍

Great vlog. I’m like u. Been veggie for few years building it up and trying to be vegan. Sus the milk. Love oat milk but cheese is my downfall. I love strong cheese. Lol. Best wishes.
If you get a chance try the violife and miyoko cheeses. They have some that are closer to traditional cheeses.

Well done for finding the energy for this after you big trip away. As a lifelong vegetarian I am with you, Charlie, on feeling that those who are vegan are on the 'Baptist Revivalist' sort of bandwagon and seeming to portray that they have come up with the idea of walking lightly upon slice earth... forgetting all the cultures around the globe that have been living that philosophy for millennia. That said, there is definitely argument for reducing cattle farming and dairy in the way it has been working this past half century. Big stuff. YAM xx
Absolutely agree! And sometimes it’s not as plain as simple as just cutting dairy out of your diet. I say let people life as long as you’re happy with yourself and your contribution!
