- I spent 2 days building a survival cabin in the forest using an axe, knife, and a saw. My dog joined me for the duration of the build and shared my bed every evening. The weather was cold, with temperatures below zero and a little snow. The wood stove kept us warm and allowed me to cook food and boil water for several cups of tea. How many teas did I drink? I'm glad a new Viking House is going up, given the old one had the taken down. It was that series that introduced me to Bushcraft Tools and Amber, not to mention the incredible outdoor cooking segments, so I was sad to see it taken down. But here we are with a new one. The spirit of the old one will live on!

I love these videos. I wish I knew how to do the things you do in your videos. You're honestly inspiring me to make videos like this.
It's great to see you back WITH AMBER in your regular stomping grounds! (She's so much better than chained elephants and 6-ft lizards.). But now I'm curious about the build...
1) I get using a tarp, but what would they have used? Skins? Some kind of oil-cloth?
2). Why use moss instead of mud?
3). Moss is such a useful resource, but how long does it take to grow back?
4). Does Amber have a favorite structure?
No criticism... I'm not qualified; just curious.

Also few suggestions for your Bushcraft village perhaps your own lumber yard or hardware store things like that maybe of firehouse if you really want to go nuts blow it out and go nuts

I miss the joy you convey when you tell us what's up and your thought process when you build. Saw a TA video where he mentioned doing the no-talking videos, too. Just curious, I noticed when you were using your auger to make your holes, you did not use the dowel maker at the other end of the auger, to make the dowels that go into the holes you made, you do know the round end of your auger is not just for a stick to go through for a handle, but also one side is tapered so it will make a perfect dowel for your auger hole, you knew that right?
