I've had this compressor over 2 years now it's very durable. Done so many home jobs at home and have let my brother use it for a few weeks he does home renovations and his compressor went out, he said it kicked ass.
If the regulator is an issue being too tight at the knob u can get a $6 regulator and add it problem fixxed..hands down great product have no complaints

Do you remember how much you paid for this when it was brand new?

I was wondering that myself. Unless for the first time, you can't get the bolt off. But, just getting all those tools would be nice, I wish it has a nailing gun instead. Did you buy this unit, I've been looking around.

Do you think this is not a good unit to buy? I want a decent compressor, but don't want to spend much over 300.

Mine died a quick death. Dont reccomend. Piston seized after a few months of light use.

I want to hear it run. I do not want nothing that is above 70 decibels. Tired of Loud Compressors. .

Its loud. Mine made 200PSI for 8 years, now maxes out at about 160.

@@snap-off5383 I ended up getting a The CALIFORNIA AIR TOOLS 15020C-22060 Ultra Quiet & Oil-Free Air Compressor is designed to be one of the quietest air compressors in the industry having only 70 decibels of sound. The 220V 60 HZ powerful 2 HP motor operates at only 1680 RPM creating less noise and less wear. The SP-9421-22060 Dual Piston Pump System is engineered for longevity, high performance and durability and is tested for a minimum pump life of 3,000 hours compared to other air compressors with life cycles of 500 hours or less. The Oil-Free pump allows for use in a variety of temperatures and uneven terrains. The Easy Start Valve feature allows for an easier start up using fewer starting amps. The Easy Start Valve releases a small amount of air from the pump at start up to produce a no-load condition allowing the motor to spin freely. The large 15 Gallon Steel Air Tank with wheel kit makes it very easy to move around the shop or garage. Designed for the person looking for power and air flow with less service, maintenance and noise. It was 500 bucks with free delivery. LOVE IT! very quiet and pumps up very fast. I know it is only 130 PSI but everybody says that is BS. It will go to 155 with no problems. I am running mine at 135 PSI just to be safe. I only use it for airing up tires on Garden tractors as I own a salvage. Also use it for blowing off dust/dirt off them and carburetor cleaning. Perfect for what I needed it for. The 5,000 hour life is what I like.

@@craftsman1598 At that price I'd be too tempted to just go buy a used 60 gallon upright at an auction or something. I put ~ $200 into this campbel hausfeld kit after taxes, getting swindled by the american flag on the side of the box (designed in USA, made in china). and have gotten 8 years of faithful service, I just ordered the new cylinder and sleeve for it, for $40, probably get another 8 years. I'm in AZ where even when you compress the air, there's still no water in it so tank should last forever. I avoid the noise by going inside for water breaks or whatnot, its bothersome for sure. I use it for inflating, impact wrenches, air nailers, painters, etc. I'd estimate I've gotten about 2500 hours on it at this point. I guess the Taiwanese reversed engineered the California air designs and released their copies under the brand "Fortress".

@@snap-off5383 did you know that most of your noise comes from like the air filter where it is sucking the air in? If you run them inlets into a like car muffler it baffles the noise. Go watch some videos here on youtube of people doing that to large air compressors. It kills the sound a lot.

@@craftsman1598 Thanks for the tip, I'll have it apart soon to replace the piston and sleeve so I'll try to MacGuyver it.

Don't buy it because on my C - H 20 gallon HU200001 compressor the check valve is to hard to tighten or loosen without messing up threads if replacement is needed. I recently tried taking mine off and couldn't get my wrench on the check valve because the space is to narrow between tank port and valve so I used a pipe wrench to grip the Whole piece and by the time I got it off it had chipped the valve so now im out a valve and I have bought a regular in tank check valve to replace the old Chinese one and cant seem to find and reducer fittings to go from a 1/2" compression to a 3/8" male compression so I will have to order the bad designed check valve and risk cracking it while installing .
