How to make a willow bird feeding basket

To make a willow bird feeder you will need the following:
5 or 4ft willow rods (pre-soaked) or green fresh cut willow (which does not need to be soaked, but is only available at a certain time of the year here in the UK - Novemer through to end of March)
- 5 x rods
- Wooden board with pre drilled holes, 8cm apart
- Secateurs
- Twine/string
- Bird seed mix/fat balls
This is a great forest school or home learning activity to do with kids or grownups can try by themselves. My son loves making these and watching them grow as we go!
