How To: Install running boards on 2021 Chevy Silverado, Crew Cab

Here’s a short video on how I installed these running boards on my Chevy Silverado. After purchasing these on Amazon I read a lot of reviews about the difficulty of installation, lack of directions, and the lack of hardware. After I do the first one I realize that everything that I needed was included and even though the directions were hard to read I was able to understand what exactly needed to be done. So, I decided to do a video in order to help illustrate the ease of installation.

Ratchet
Flat head screwdriver
Adjustable wrench

Did an installation on my ‘22 Silverado crew cab and was surprised at the amount of visible rust on the frame? Anyone else experience this on a relatively new model?

Should have lined the front board with fender line

The placement had more to do with usable foothold for the rear doors to make it easier for my kids to get in and out.

I'm interested in these. I have a 2022 silverado 1500 rst crew cab. Not sure why Amazon says it doesn't fit.

If Amazon says it doesn’t fit, it might not fit. I would reach out to the seller to verify the fit for your vehicle. I can’t imagine the RST would be much different layout than the one I have, but you never know.
