I love throwing your videos on in the background while I play stardew expanded with extra mods like ridge side it helps me so much when it loads for a minute or I hear a bit of information in the background and am like hmm that’s a good idea I should do that
6:50 This. One of my biggest gripes with Stardew is that it's just *TOO* good. CA did a truly fantastic job on Stardew, and I find that it just really fills that niche. I could go play another farming sim, and I'm a huge fan of the genre having grown up on Harvest Moon, but Stardew's just got everything covered. You want to farm? Stardew's got a good farming system, not the most intricate of all the games out there, but enough that it'll scratch the farming itch. You want to raise animals? Stardew's got a million different animals to raise, and tons of ways to use their products. You want to go mining? Stardew's got a super fun mining system, complete with monsters to battle too. When you throw it all together, I find that I'd just rather play Stardew for the all-around good gameplay and all the options it offers, instead of playing another Farming Sim that might do one specific thing better, but is completely missing a bunch of the other features Stardew has.

The one thing I love about Stardew Valley oddly the most is that it doesn't break the fourth wall. Most of your games have a tutorial or whatever and it's all "Press X button to do X action" meanwhile with Stardew: Yeah, here's the farm and this is the bin you put stuff into sale, good luck!" That's it. No stupid tutorial part or anything. You're left to your own devices on day one. And plus, it's open ended, so there's no true "end" to the game.

Oh please do give Sun Haven a try. I love Stardew and own it on three different platforms right now. Sun Haven is similar but has more quests from the start as well as the option to adventure or just stay and farm 😊
