Dark Core is not a bad mouse. I was constantly hitting the trigger while trying to find those two side-finger buttons. They really need to raise them or add some type of tactile feedback because they are blending right into the trigger. 502 is a lot skinnier than the Dark Core.

Razers wireless tech wins? How? I have the basilisk ultimate and the g pro wireless. The basilisk regularly dcs and it's gotten me killed multiple times, there is also that annoying half a second delay when the razer mouse wakes up from sleep. None are present on logitech wireless mice, even the older g403 is flawless with it's wireless.
Great question. I didn't want to go into the differences between the wireless tech in the video because most people just don't care and it's a long winded answer. Let me start this off by saying that Logitech mice were my favorite gaming mice for a VERY long time. I've never been a Razer fanboy. But they have made three products recently that have won me over due to simply amazing tech. That's their Optical-mechanical key switches (Bloody made them first but Razers variant), the Focus+ sensor, and their Hyperspeed wireless tech. Their Hyperspeed wireless and Focus+ sensor is the best tech on the market currently. Previously I would have said that Logitech's Hyperspeed and HERO sensor and before that the PMW3366 senor was. Which has been the case since the Logitech G900 came out years and years ago (as their wireless tech hasn't changed since then and just recently they upgraded from the PMW3366 to the HERO Sensor). @@ThomasMuehler I had 3 of the "new" razer mice (basilisk ultimate, newest mamba wireless and lancehead which I've returned) all of which have the 0.5 seconds of wake time before the cursor moving. The dc issues are maybe an defect as you said with the basilisk, but I'm sure that it's the ultimate because it has rgb. I also tested the g403 and g pro wireless for latency, both of which maintain constant 990-100x. So maybe you have a defective g pro wireless lol. Ps: yes the razers, both the mamba with the older 5g sensor and the basilisk with the new focus has the same latency as my g pro wireless, but as I said, the basilisk likes to dc, haven't used the mamba much, so I can't comment on its dc issues. Pps: also a huge flaw that razer still has is the fact that you can't save lighting on on board memory. Logitech has been doing this since forever, I hate how razer makes you use synapse (not that g hub is any better, in fact it's the worst software for gear I've used).
The only Razer mouse that has the updated Hyperspeed wireless and Focus+ sensor is the Razer Basilisk. The rest of those I'm NOT a fan of the wireless and Logitech's wins easily. I'm pretty sure all mice that go into a power saving mode are going to have some type of latency when first waking up. My mouse never falls asleep while I'm gaming so I've never seen it as a con or a negative. Plus you can adjust that in Razer Synapse. Who knows about my G Pro Wireless. It's very old and I have used the living crap out of it. lol I completely agree with Razer's "on-board" memory is complete trash. I don't understand how you can't save lighting on any of their products without having their software open. Corsairs ICUE software is by far the best software out right now along with saving whatever you want directly to their devices. Logitech's works... eventually. But their software is not user friendly at all. Razer's is very... complicated and moody. When it works it works well. But it is limited with what you can do regarding onboard profiles. But I do enjoy their cloud settings. But yeah. Razer's software needs a lot of work to be excellent.
@@ThomasMuehler All my mice are on a 5 min till sleep. So for me at least it is very noticable. Hey man, I just bought this mouse and I'm having a lot of difficulty connecting the dongle and slipstream. I've downloaded all the firmware Corsair recommends but the mouse will only operate when connected on the USB-C. Any ideas on what I should do? :( I have a Corsair Wireless Headset too, is it possible to connect both to one dongle? Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated! New to PC here :'(
Hmm... Few questions. Some of them are going to sound like I'm insulting your intelligence which I'm not. Just need more information for clarification. 1. You have the USB dongle that came with the Dark Core RGB Pro connected to your PC? In addition to the one you use for your Corsair Wireless Mouse? 2. You have the Dark Core Pro switch turned on over to the left for slip stream wireless? Not the right for Bluetooth? 3. You have gone into ICUE and initiated USB wireless receiver pairing? Which I think is needed after the firmware update? I don't think that you can pair the Corsair Wireless Headset and the Wireless Mouse to the same dongle for technical reasons.
@@ThomasMuehler No offense taken!! Yes to all of those! Tried to initiate the wireless receiver pairing after update and for some reason, it wouldn't let me. I actually ended up just returning the mouse and bought a different wireless one, to which the dongle and slipstream work fine. Seems like I must've just gotten a defective one!! Thank you for the reply :')

Yep, made a single mistake at the beginning of the video and said Razer instead of Corsair. As I just got done shooting multiple videos for Razer and missed it in the editing studio. My bad. Also, I'm not a professional. I don't have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Barely any with zero schooling in video editing or production. But I appreciate the attempt of a constructive comment.
I know! So embarrassing. That's what you get when you make back to back reviews on two different mice from different manufacturers and are stupid and miss it in editing. lol
This mouse is terrible. It double clicks, doesn't register clicks, and will not pair to icue to save my life. The G604 is a better mouse in literally every way unless you are an RGB nut.
I'm sorry to hear you've had so many issues with it. A double click is a defect and you should contact Corsair to go through the RMA process. Unless if you can exchange it through a local dealer. But I agree I prefer Logitech Mice over Corsair.
Yeah he was dumb enough to call it razer, then either lazy or oblivious enough to not fix or edit it. So he lost my interest and my confidence in his opinion in a record breaking 5 seconds of video.... well done
You are correct. I completely missed it in editing and can understand why that would make you lose interest and confidence right off the bat. Hopefully the rest of the video was enough to gain it back. However, me making a simple mistake doesn't make me dumb, lazy, or oblivious. Especially, since this is the only time I say Razer, which lasts for about a second, out of an 11 minute video. Additionally, I recorded a video for a Razer product right before this. What it does make me is human. If I could edit it once I uploaded it to RUclips I would but I can't. Perhaps next time instead of using combative language you can be respectful like an adult and give some good constructive criticism.

It's very old and I have used the living crap out of it. lol
I completely agree with Razer's "on-board" memory is complete trash.
With logitech mice, you just use them normally and don't even notice that they went to sleep, but with all my razer mice it's the 0.5 till they register movement and it gets really annoying. I want to save as much battery as I can with wireless so it's on 5 min, I've been thinking about going powerplay with g pro, but not sure if it's worth it.
Thanks for the replies!
Genevieve Ramirez Awesome. Glad you got a working one this time. I hope you enjoy it.
Why no talk about the side buttons.. that's the most important thing
Honestly, I don't remember where I put this mouse so I can't test it to give you an update. I am usually better at making sure to go into the side buttons in my reviews and perhaps I forgot in this one. But if I did mention it would be during the click section.
love the video though nice and thorough keep it up :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey I have this mouse and I was looking on RUclips on how to fix it cause I think I clicked the DPI button on the top and it won’t change at all anymore it just turned white and turned off and now the DPI is slow as hell so please anyone reach out to me and help me
Have you turned on/off the mouse? Have you plugged it into the computer? Have you tried to change settings via the software? Have you reached out to Corsair to see what they say?
@@ThomasMuehler yes I have plugged it in to my computer but I don’t know what happened I was using it when out of a sudden the color just stopped and it went to the lowest sensitivity ever I don’t know what to do
@@apollosboyfriend3871 Have you tried to adjust your DPI in the software?
@Sir Galahad how do I check that
@@ThomasMuehler how do I check that?! Do I download ?
Show more of the mouse instead of just talking in front of a camera about it.
Appreciate the constructive criticism. I'll keep that in mind in the future.
razer ?
Yeah... Mistakes were made. Just got finished recording multiple Razer Mice Reviews and bungled it.
if ur thinking about getting this, dont. corsair is not the same quality as back in the day. buy a competitor at near same price. had this mouse 2 months and wont charge or turn on, light use i work all week. Spend your money to a company that will value your return on your money. Corsair has been gouged for profit. These products DO NOT last. Google dark core not charging if you dont believe me. Countless threads, most unresolved with a shit out of luck message or forced to pay to return it. My biggest regret in my pc setup is using corsair in modern day.
Appreciate the heads up! I 100% that there are A TON of better mice out there. Especially, around this price point.
Razer has GREAT hardware, but Synapse software will BREAK your computer EVERYTIME, their support is terrible and they blame everything else, Drivers, Windows 10, and on and on. But sleep function on Windows 10 will break if you use Razer !
Hahaha, yeah I had a lot of problems with Razer Synapse for a long time. However, recently (probably the last year) I haven't had any issues with it whatsoever. Not sure if they finally came out with an update or I just got super lucky.
I couldn’t watch this whole video because he kept saying taser instead of corsiar
I say Razer instead of Corsair one time which is at the very beginning of the video... Got mixed up with it being all RGB intensive which is what Razer is usually all about.
Sir Galahad I understand sir, thank you for clearing it up it was a really good review and very factual thank you and have a good night or morning when ever your reading this
Thanks man. You too.
and you said Taser instead of Razor lol
I have the original one the wire broke and I might get this
YNG SIMI I hate when cables break. But sometimes it’s also nice because it almost forces you to upgrade to something newer. If you just so happen to get this I’d love to hear your thoughts and if you think it is better than the original.
Sir Galahad I also have the wireless mouse pad the original one though. And might test them
YNG SIMI For sure man. I’d be interested in what you find out.
Bought this mouse only cause i tried it at the store , i got long piano player fingers , so its perfect for me.
Good review thank you !
I'm glad you are enjoying it! Thanks for letting me know. Always enjoy reading these types of comments.
"Razer" ? I almost left after hearing that lol. Glad i didnt, good video.
Yeah… Mistakes were made. And I can’t edit it out once it’s been uploaded. So, I just live in shame. Lol
That’s what you get when you do multiple videos in a day.
did he say "RAZOR " dark core rgb pro .................. smfh
Sure did. Was recording multiple Razer videos that same day and missed it. Or was I testing you? Who knows?
umm yeah 8 seconds in I stopped it. RAZER? wtf do i hv to continue to see that he is trolling and corrects himself? so far this video is the opposite of professional
“Razer Dark Core RGB Pro”😂😂😂
I know! So embarrassing. That's what you get when you make back to back reviews on two different mice from different manufacturers and are stupid and miss it in editing. lol
what's up?
Nothing, how bout you?
This mouse is terrible. It double clicks, doesn't register clicks, and will not pair to icue to save my life. The G604 is a better mouse in literally every way unless you are an RGB nut.
I'm sorry to hear you've had so many issues with it. A double click is a defect and you should contact Corsair to go through the RMA process. Unless if you can exchange it through a local dealer. But I agree I prefer Logitech Mice over Corsair.
*Corsair
Yeah I dropped the ball on that one.
❤
razer
Yeah, mistakes were made. Really I was just testing YOU to see if you were listening or not. You passed. lol
@@ThomasMuehlerhe is the one who lazy to watch the rest of the video lol
