This beat is simply amazing. First heard it when I was 11 in 1981. It was ahead of its time then and still sounds so fresh today. This live version is outstanding. The drums are like bullets!
When Computerworld started, arpeggiator is open in main keyboard at 5:39. They closed it afterwards & it sounded just like original album version. But I found arpeggiator mode nice & more fit to the song.
Agree...it is emotion inside that i need in subject live performances. It doesent need to sounds perfect. Ok it is electronic, but the shows of today are too perfect, if i was not a fan for 30 years and knows better, i guess i would think it is a playback show.

The security at the door told me to go across the street and lay in the grass the ‘bouncer’ who wouldn’t let me in goes home shortly thereafter. The show was bliss pure bliss it was played at the Park West

These 81 live performances are brilliant, unlike the overly sedate feeling of their shows these days these sound aggressively fast and frenetic!

I was lucky enough to see them live at Gaumont Southampton on 26th June 1981. Mind-blowing for the time and remains so today.
