The problems you are talking about are the very ones that the ACFTA seeks to solve. There is a reason why such integration work seamlessly under a Federal system like the US or China as opposed to Europe which still keeps nations. Of course it will work in Africa but we need to move the needle on labor mobility and possibly create a Continental passport as a start with national designation within.
I believe the ACFTA will move in the right direction and over time the costs and tariffs will be reduced. Lots of upside for small and medium sized business.
We have to start looking Continental wise and not local only. Yet still there is a lot of work to do to scale and brand one product for example into other nations. Taste can play into the consumer behavior with regards to the brand but there are loads of example to follow on how to scale across.
