Very good info in this video guys! So troubling that there are people out there just waiting to take advantage of tourists. At least you got cake!

I've heard some terrible taxi stories from peoples travels, and it's so unfortunate because it leaves a bad taste in your mouth from what could be a great travel experience. David seems so calm, I can't imagine him being fuming! 🤣 I can't believe they brought you a cake though!! Good tips as well. Thanks for sharing this experience.

Yes, it's possible to David to get angry though it has been rare. Thanks so much for watching!

Yes, unfortunately we’ve had to deal with taxi scams in many countries as well. It’s such a shame that a whole industry can be so problematic.

well that was a really unpleasant experience with the cab driver. Although I have been to Vietnam few times but fortunately have not experience something like this. These kind of instances do really put a question mark while travelling to the country. We definitely got to be careful.

We were aware taxi scams existed before we went to Vietnam, but we were surprised how often it happens. It was a daily battle.

The down side of travel. Language barriers and sometimes, visitng extreme poverty areas where unfortunately some people have created unethical means to gather income. Quite sad really. Once bitten....take extra care. 🙏❤️👍🎥🙋🏼‍♀️

The taxi scams were truly the worst part of Vietnam. Luckily it's a non life threatening problem but still so very annoying!

ya the first day i arrived at the airport. i was calling Uber and then suddenly guy behind me told me hes the uber driver i called for on the app.
and when he brought us to the car. Clearly it wasnt same driver on Uber app and then different number on the car. and when we were about to leave the guy asked for fee for airport gate and then asked me for money. he didnt tell me how much exactly. so he kept on asking for cash and that he will count how much he needed. And then while he was putting money down he tried to distract me by pointing Sign on the car window about gate fee. and then i knew he was trying to scam me. and saw him drop the 100$ that was at the bottom of cash lol

Goodness! Sorry to hear they got you too! We’re so suspicious of taxi drivers now thanks to Vietnam. It’s a shame we had to learn the hard way.
