Not just that, during his Best Director Oscar speech in 2007, he said "could you double check the envelope" ironically, that happened to La La Land at the Oscars. He's excellent in predicting the future 😂😂😂
it was corfirmed that the musical scenes will based on this movie, that would be the delusional fantasies of them two, as Dr. Harley applied music therapy on Joker.
Like many, I'm a Scorsese and De Niro fan and this is the only movie of them together I had not seen. But thanks to the maker of this trailer for saving me hours, cause I feel like I just watched the movie. Thanks.
Jose Carranza i dont know if you’ve seen or not, but Trust me you haven’t seen the whole movie at ALL, because it is so much more complicated than that, their love story, their career, the differences between characters etc... please please please watch it it is a masterpiece
Scorcese may regard this as his 'Heaven's Gate' but it still flashes with his cinematic intelligence for which very few can provide an equivalent today. Sure, it's a bit long winded at times and never quite coalesces into a unified, identifiable experience of 'really talented people make lousy spouses' (so much so that you swear Scorcese was deliberately and rigorously interrogating the sentimental artifice of 40s musicals through the hard lens of 'Alice Doesn't...' and 'The Last Waltz' [which, I know, is a 1978 film but was filmed in '76] - and if he was, I don't quite think he pulls it off. But so much endures: its one of the best films Kovacs ever shot and the great Boris Leven's deliberately artificial sets anticipate 'One From the Heart' and are decades ahead of 'La La Land.' As for the leads cast for star power AND talent, the choices couldn't have been cannier, esp. in terms of acting style: De Niro's post-method intellectuality is almost always dissonant with the showy, studio style moxy of Minelli, serving as an analogy for the incompatibility of these two titans. As for Minelli, whose career as a movie star was at this point on the wane, we are reminded once again what a very good actress she is - this remains one of her great performances, easily on par with Sally Bowles in 'Cabaret' and Pookie Adams in 'The Sterile Cuckoo' - if, at some moments, even better. Just her delivery of a series of 'no's' in her first appearance is a master class in line delivery.
Robert de Niro's character here is such an out and out asshole, but still it's a great movie with almost Judy Garland-like Liza Minnelli and cinematic extravaganza never again possible after HEAVEN'S GATE.
I remember seeing this when I was a kid. It wasn't a great movie. It was long and meandering and really scattered. And though it had good performances from the two leads, they didn't really gel.
Still underrated Scorsese musical about a rocky romance...with great performances from De Niro as a sax player/bandleader who is a major a$$hole and Liza as an aspiring singer trying to make the big time
That fight scene in car was brilliant. De Niro's anger was palpable. Liza was awesome!
Damn this trailer is showing the whole movie
Typical 20th century era trailer. 😆
Robert learned to play Saxophone, especially for that film.
The actual sound isnt de niro's one, he learn the fingering but prob sounded to bad so it got dubbed
@@benijager1372 Georgie Auld did the actually playing!
If De Niro has to play Messi's role he would learn to play soccer too
not well enough a musician played those notes
Scorsese predicts the end of La la land 40 years ago.

Forgettable film in it’s day, but one that holds a certain charm today.
I’m just here to get a sneak peek at the new ‘joker 2’ film
LMAOOO

Same 🤣
Omgg me too! Haha♡
@@eniogoncalves6861 It's starting to look more like Pennies from Heaven than this.
great movie, really and here is the proof that deniro is excellent in any role he takes
I loved him in the King Of Comedy.
He was brilliant in little fockers
Liza should have received an Oscar nomination for this movie
You missed some movie in this trailer
One of my favorite movies! 👍🎼🎵🎥🎭🎬

Now you have The Irishman.
It was such a wild departure for both stars. They were still very much at the start of what their careers would become. It's worth a watch.
It’s a great film
Oh my gosh I couldn't even get through the trailer
Great Performances ... Great
I hated DeNiro in this movie, he was annoying & a jerk, I loved him
Try watching raging bull. You'll hate him even more.
@@shayennebouts4724 and thats why he is my favourite

❤Wow what a movie, dont know what I was doing during this time, but sorry I missed New York New York, wow!!
The song is the only thing that people remember.
The third of nine collaborations between Scorsese and DeNiro.
EDIT: Make that the third of ten.
Lo mejor de esta película es la canción que zinatra la convertio en leyenda
Gotta watch it!
Lionel Messi's dad
*Djokovic's Dad or Djokovic himself in 70s*
Anyone here after realizing that John Kander and Lin-Manuel Miranda are making a Broadway musical adaptation of the movie?
Yes can’t wait to see who they cast
AND!!! IT !!! SUCKED !!!😢
Robert de Niro's character here is such an out and out asshole, but still it's a great movie with almost Judy Garland-like Liza Minnelli and cinematic extravaganza never again possible after HEAVEN'S GATE.
I love this movie i just hate the way it ended
Me too
Hands down best Scorsese movie of all time

It's been two years and you still haven't taken this back.
Can't believe scorsese and de niro did this film after taxi driver

I just got the brand new DVD of this movie at Dollar Tree for 50 cents.
Let's have the director's cut !!
Scorsese genius.

Lady Gaga Joker 2?
Liza is beautiful.
A brilliant film that did not very well at the box office because was released at the false time.
I couldn’t stand DeNiro’s character in this. Such a cad.
.... ¿ what was M.S. thinking ? .... that was the year that STAR WARS was the talk/watch film too see ......
Funny thing is that Marcia Lucas edited both movies.
Well, no one predicted how big Star Wars would be. In fact, a lot of people thought it would fail.
Nirtrainman and Matthew Moore this is final movie appearance a year after the deaths
Joker 2
I like 👍
No wonder it tanked, that trailer's a mess
wow, no comments
Max Cady before prison
If that was cocaine in that winter scene on that sound stage, .. Liza would have snorted every last drop. ...
I remember seeing this when I was a kid. It wasn't a great movie. It was long and meandering and really scattered. And though it had good performances from the two leads, they didn't really gel.
Lisa has better act then Robert! :D
was this a summary of her Mum's life? So talented but betrayed by men
No chemistry between DeNiro and Minelli. And the cinematography is muddy and awful looking…. Not a feather in Scorsese's cap.
Painfully obnoxious movie.
Still underrated Scorsese musical about a rocky romance...with great performances from De Niro as a sax player/bandleader who is a major a$$hole and Liza as an aspiring singer trying to make the big time
Waste of film
