Its funny, where was the intense scrutiny of Hew Edwards? I worked in a factory for a few months back in 1975. It made women’s underwear for M&S. All of the machinists were woman, we had a number of store workers who were men, me been one of them. At lunch time and home time the men left ten minutes early for their safety, I kid you not. It was a stop gap job and during the annual summer shut down I helped the maintenance department by painting both the mens and women’s toilets. Not one bit of graffiti in the mens the graffiti in the women’s was extremely graphic. I certainly grew up quick there and it opened my eyes.
