The problem with that is that the "victims" are often the "monsters". Most people who go to Hollywood and work on screen are charismatic, driven, often hedonistic. Good looks and attractiveness are commodities they often use to their advantage to gain an advantage, to gain what they want and desire.
To think they're all just innocent victims is naive at best.

Lark Voorhies & Maya Campbell used to be the “IT” girls for me ❤❤❤ they are so beautiful and were amazing actresses - I used to think they were so perfect - it’s so sad to find out how they struggled with mental disorders! I want to blame Hollywood and industry politics/culture so bad 😢 and the medication may or may not make matters worse but then again her diagnosis could very well explain how she was able to fully embody each and every role she had - that’s a lot on your mental, taking a character, evolving into that character, having to act out emotions over and over on film - on top of growing up in Hollywood seems like a lot to handle! Kudos to the people who have made it out unscathed but much love to all those who weren’t so lucky ❤

I loved her growing up. Her character in Saved by the Bell was supposed to be a caucasian, blonde girl. I'm so glad they chose her for the role. She brought so much to show especially for young, black women. She was honestly the cutest even though the show revolved around Zack and Kelly for many seasons.

I had no idea Lark Voorhees was with Martin Lawrence. Then to find out he was really an awful person to her makes me sad for her. She is so pretty and talented, I feel bad that she went through all of that and had a hard time with the other girls on Saved by the bell. The narration was a mess. It almost seemed like she is afraid of edits, has trouble reading a script, or just winged the whole story. I get that these are amateur storytellers on RUclips, but there are plenty of creators who do a great job. If I was not interested in Lark's story, I would have turned it off. Lark was literally one of the reasons why I watched Saved by the Bell and of course Zack (Mark) lol. She went through alot but based on her IG right now, she seems to be doing WAYYY better now physically and working on a project. But may she continue to be strengthen and moving forward in her life. There needs to be a way Hollywood or some quiet celebrities come together to form a union to protect children stars and even those who have been abuse by the industry.

When I say Lark Voorhies and Saved By the Bell were my childhood, I mean it. I was born in 88, and this show was what I watched every morning before school (reruns) and every Saturday morning for new episodes. I watched them go from middle school to high school to working at the beach over the summer to when they went to college. I always saw myself in Lark and loved the integrity of all the characters she played. She didn't mind her characters making mistakes if they learned something, but she never did anything just for shock factor.

Running I also helps with mental health she should take some boxing lessons and shooting lessons after everything she's gone through she's in Hollywood and you obviously can't trust nobody in Hollywood at least she can't she really should take up boxing to defend herself sending prayers for her to win and to heal in journey in her mental wellness to be healthy emotionally physically and spiritual and to surround herself with people who really care rooting for her peace and healing.

Yes, my daughter suffered from bipolar, she has since passed. I miss her so much & wish I could have dealt better with her situation. It was very difficult & very hard to accept. I knew very little about mental illness. But now I can see it could happen to anyone!

I'm 44, and I've loved Lark Voorhies since I first saw her on SBTB. I still love her the same. I think she is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen on this Earth in this life & I would still take such good care of her today if I could. I'm happy she's still alive & healthy. 🙏🏽❤️🖤💚
Wow, I loved this episode, Karine. You have a sweet spirit, I can appreciate you lifting her up and not making a mockery of her mental illness/weakest moments. Her story reminds me somewhat of how Maia Campbell's mental health took a turn for the worse after her time on "In the House". Life can really be something. Have to be grateful for everyday we have all of our faculties and overall health together!

I wouldn’t have guessed that she was so withdrawn & barely talked to her cast mates outside of filming. She had such good chemistry w/ them when playing Lisa & truly embodied the outgoing, bubbly yet sassy personality the character had. (Sn: Mark & Lark were so cute together. Ofc, the other girls were jealous. I also had no idea about her n Martin!)

Your video was full of information about her disorder and the abuse that goes on in Hollywood. Thank you for being classy and empathetic in how you portrayed her, and the pictures that you displayed. Other people on RUclips have made videos about Lark Voorhies and seem to get a sick pleasure out of showing her at her absolute rock-bottom in an effort to humiliate and embarrass her for views. Mental health is not funny, every single one of us is about two pills away from mental illness.

My younger brother has schizoaffective disorder so I know how it can affect someone closely but can only imagine how much that’s amplified by being on camera or a part in such a major tv series it must’ve been incredibly difficult to balance. I had no idea the cast members were all involved to that degree that definitely makes sense how that split her personality.

During early morning when I would be getting ready for school, was for the gorgeously, stunning, & fabulous Lark.💜 So heartbreaking, how she struggled and her challenges with severe mental health. 😔💔😔 If not darkness she suffered and endured also. I hope that things continue to get better for her. May Dustin Diamond, also continuously rest in peace.🥀

My mom is a paranoid schizophrenic. I try my best to stay away from any synthetic meds (THC, weed, etc) and do yoga, meditation, and study herbs. Even with herbs, I have to be careful because everyone body reacts differently to it. My attachments to people is minimal because I’m extremely sensitive. The only people in too attached to is my husband and kids.
Definitely sending so much love and prayers for Larkin. I may not be in her shoes but I definitely understand!

I looked up to Lark , growing up because in the late 80s and early 90s with her being a part of my childhood Saturday morning television programs, I would watch her on Save by the bell and later in my teens, I would watch her on the sitcom,In the house as Alfonso Ribeiro ‘s lady.
