Would miss ag life but as you said John, sometimes there’s method in the madness so trust yous to make the right decision. Though I will say, need more interviews with Basil as he is legendary. 👍👍up to more Basil.
Dont take the easy route. Stick with Ag life. BBC did a series 'this farming life' and it's been really popular with viewers from all back grounds, unfortunately its lost it's way as the series progress, as usual since the BBC does not get farming stuff. Your ag life was eadily better and I think would lead farmflix to a bigger audience if pushed.
With you but we've not got 5% of the resources of a BBC crew, we reckon this season at least 2020 we can deliver more stockyards for the farmers in place of it, there's always method to the madness!
FarmFLiX I understand where you're coming from but stockyards doesn't seem to have the same vibe as Aglife. Personally I prefer the aglife to stockyards as it's nice to catch up with folk over the year. Aglife is a great series's and it would be a real shame to loose it.
Good old Same's air cooled power very fixable tractor and very underated. We got 3 hurlimann xt 130s there the much newer design a liquid cooled but nothing beats the old same.
Those air cooled Fritz engines were good if the air baffles were kept clean and in situ, otherwise like all air cooled units they would overheat. However easy to replace cylinders or heads as they were all individual.A piston, cylinder or head could be replaced with the engine in situ and that made them easy to work on.Oil change every 250 hours keeps them going.
FarmFLiX please do for they are class as he shows it how it is, working with what you’ve got and not showing everything when it gos right he shows how it actually gos when spanner’s always get threw into the works
Just got a same dorado 85 in september with just 1150 hours n 1 owner before me....if she does as well as that old same.....she will see me thru to retirement
Guys if it wasn't for aglife and stock yards I would have to really think about my subscription as i feel the rest of it would be a too much of the same. Thanks
Would be disappointed to see aglife go tbf, probably is a pain the arse ta make consistently but it's kinda unique as ya don't really see that run and shoot on a bunch of different farms stuff anywhere else tbf, don't get me wrong love seeing machinery and contracting vids but plenty of that to be seen on other channels and platforms, suppose everyone loves watching shiny metal tho lol, good vid
@@farmflix Good point, ye have done well so far with it anyways, if yas are gonna give it a break then Alan is gonna have to make up the slack with more vids from him 😆
I'd definitely miss AgLife if ye stopped it, but more Stockyards would also be great. Maybe even going to continental Europe and looking at Dutch farms for example? Interesting farming there for sure
I've a Titan 160 bought new in 1993. 7000 hours and no gearbox trouble. Had a piston oil cooler nozzle fail once, which resulted in a melted piston and bust cylinder and single head, but apart from that it has been fair reliable. Oh and it blew an exhaust manifold gasket about three years ago and the manifold was too rusty and thin to refit. The turbo was fair worn, so it had the manifold and a new turbo fitted. The storeman at the dealer priced the two piece manifold and said it was available and not too bad at £85 and £75. Imagine the shock when I had the bill for £850 and £750!!!!! A brand new turbo was less than £1200 for goodness' sake! So a lightweight simple casting was £1600 while a precision engineered complex unit with moving parts, the turbo, was £450 cheaper. Makes no sense to me. Been carting slurry with it on a 7 mile drag in hilly conditions the last few days. Pulls like a train. One annoyance that's developed these last couple of years is that it often changes to gears up whe I press the button when I only want the one ratio change. I think it's to do with the button unit on the control pad. Most of the time its fine.
@@farmflix -something to do with if you shoot a deere (animal) but you dont knock it and it runs like hell? Thats what i was told, not sure what it has to do with tractors tho😂
In late 1836, at the age of 33, John Deere left Vermont for Grand Detour, Illinois facing bankruptcy and a fledgling economy which would later become the Panic of 1837. John made the trip with just $73 dollars in his pocket. He faced debtors prison in Vermont and was summons by the Village of Leicester for a note he owed of $78.76... I think a newspaper article from the time coined the phrase "nothing runs like a Deere" off the back of that little mistake!
break a light?? ive broke a door near clean off putting an aul bale into a feeding barrier in a field. left the door open for ventelation. wasnt looking at the door and by the time i seen that it clipped the stone fence post it was 2 late. whole door cracked back and window smashed. wasnt really too concerned bout it since the tractor is an old case 695 year 91. pile a scrap like. anyway a light isnt too bad to be honest.

Ag life is the best series
I remember mowing with the 100 and wrapping bales with the wee 60
proper job
Ag life’s the best bit of the subscription 😢
Great video
Would personally prefer ag life over stock yards, I mean being a machinery man it’s straight 6 all the way
So you'd be more upset if we stopped Straight6 to keep both AgLife & Sotckyards?
Reason i have farmflix is for ag life and stockyards!
Plenty more of that style to come Dave :)
