Thanks for the informative vid.. I have just been given a n Armstrong key wind pocket watch and had no idea how to offset the time..Thank you for showng me how to access the movement
Excellent again Richard, thank you so much. I have learned how to remove the dust cover now, at least.....! I have obtained a John Meyers pocket watch, ? early 20th century, which is running. Dial and glass in good condition. I would like to clean the case as you show in one of your videos, but can't work out how to get the movement out of the case. Any ideas please.....? I'm not planning to attempt to service it, seeing as it is running; it would definitely benefit from a clean though. I don't think the movement swings out, but could be wrong of course...lol. I just wondered if you were familiar with this branding of watch. Any advice gratefully accepted. Cheers from a fellow Welsh inhabitant..... ;-)
Hi Richard, I have a very similar one which i have taken apart as it was not working. The mainspring was missing and possibly other bits. I have joined the forum and posted the pics, Could you provide some advice. I cleaned the case using instructions from another video of yours. Thanks
Hi Deacon Family .... I am not sure which forum you are referring to here so I am unable to view the images. happy to assist if I can get a little more information. Richard
Hi Richard, thanksfor getting back to me can you take a look at these two links please www.watchrepairtalk.com/topic/12286-newbie-from-south-wales-uk/ www.watchrepairtalk.com/topic/12315-pocket-watch-identification/
Hi twozerouk ... the plates are brass so if there are no jewels present you have a steel pivot against a brass hole which is less than ideal over the long run. Hope this helps. Richard

Hi Richard please see the watch here www.watchrepairtalk.com/topic/12315-pocket-watch-identification/
A couple of questions I'm assuming its an English movement and did the movement run on steel bearing surfaces or some other material? Thanks.
