Perugia sent Milano home in the Del Monte Coppa semifinal! Perugia have been defeated by Milano in regular season but Perugia showed what they got to Milano in knockout matches. But it's quite fascinating how they always fight for 5 set (haha).
@@thearies10In case you didn’t know, Milano (ranked 8th) defeated Perugia (ranked 1st) in last season Italian league quarterfinal despite Perugia being the undefeated team in the regular season and was the favourite to win the championship. Milano won 3 out of 5 matches in the QF and knocked them out of the championship. It was the biggest upset in last year’s championship. Hence why people talked about Milan-Perugia rivalry in such a way.

This is true :( Piazza, Porro and Reggers will stay in Milano, but even if it's nothing confirmed yet Ishikawa and Loser will play in Perugia next season... this Milano team is very strong but its game is focused on Yuki and Loser... They will aim for the highest this season, but next season I don't know how they could do. There were rumors of Caneschi from Piacenza to replace Loser, and Gardini from Padova to cover an OH that is Yuki... but neither of them has the level of the current powerboys... not even close

Milano literally eliminated an undefeated Perugia last season... of the last 5 games Milano won 4 (Semifinal of the coppa italia was a sad day) and is the only team that has beaten Perugia on the away and in home this regular season. At this point Perugia will be more relieved to avoid another showdown in the play off quarterfinals than Milano haha
