When they performed LIVE they performed completly. No relying on Auto Tune.

Look at this beautiful woman. Now try to compare her to the images of women today. NO COMPARISON! She's a class act!

Ms McNair ironically does a great imitation of Carol Channing ....,makes you wonder if she knew...... Also Diahann Carroll , Nancy Wilson , Barbara Mc Nair , Leslie Uggams were the same style of singers .

Re: Channing... It was 'whispered' about back in the day. I can remember my grandmother and other family elders saying that she was 'passing' when Carol Channing appeared on variety shows. It wasn't said in a 'mean' way. They just 'knew what they were looking at...'

@@impsrule60 no disrespect, but I wouldn’t say it wasn’t passing because they obviously look black. They look Italian or Spanish dissent or native American what it was the white sound as a black person I even wish I could’ve had much more soulful things down, but most people tell me I have a black but white sound and most companies back then we’re looking for people who had a white sound a smoky but white sound with a tad of black because you could appeal to white people with the tempo, swinging version of the song that Barbra Streisand sang you could get more farther as a artist, then black soul, singers in America and singers today have lost this entire appeal. The industry has became nothing of class or something to look up to, but now is a smudge on this earth and has been lowered to autotune and fake instrument music on TV only and I’m GenZ and I could even point this out most people and prepping up to become a artist where trying to appeal to the sound so it was more like a switch. I can say I have switch as a black person going to all white schools and all this and it’s called the switch to switch from your black cell to a much more toned down sophisticated version and this is what they were returning the artist to do so they can appeal to people and or countries you gotta realize this was the traveling era Everything was the golden age the 40s of the 70s was the best period of time for anybody and it was the prosperous years now we are in the disparity years

This song was written for Barbara McNair…with very little support. Stevie Wonder took it to the top.
