- Double crash at the RMA track day @ Brands Hatch GP on the 23/5/24
Revolution prototype crashes at the back straight, another Porche in the barrier.
I'm in the Cayman with Colin Hoad.
Nice one! I was the Golf in front of you. We both managed to avoid being shafted from behind by the 992!
Thank god for that :)
0:07 So I learn from this that ABS in 911’s doesn’t actually work…..
It appears what you were actually doing was rubbernecking and blocking the only safe route, causing another crash. I hope that wasn't the case but that is how it appears in the video.
@@xz9592 Wrong buddy. You haven't a clue
An insult rather than an explanation. That tells me all I need to know.
I urge all drivers to learn from videos like this. Dont block escape routes. Get out of the way as quickly as you can, safely.
Hope everyone is ok.
Small world, I know Colin from CAT driver training.
Great guy.
Excellent work by the instructor.. slow and steady keep moving using mirrors..
Lucky escape. On another point if I bought a Porsche and it sounded like a rattly ancient beetle I'd be rather disappointed in it..
I dont understand, what have I missed here? Which Porsche sounds like a beetle?
Weird comment but thanks for letting us know
Not a weird comment on a car video though, is it. I agree, those 4-cylinder boxsters and caymans sound pants
@@kjb8321 Letting a stranger know your personal preference, without being asked, is a bit weird, isn’t it
Great reactions
That's why you need marshals.... blind hill, marshal stand at the top that is NOT manned!!!!
welcome to trackdays!
@@masi1167 not the track days I teach at. Go look at my videos. They are manned.
There would have been marshals. Also Brands Hatch has electronic light signs which would have been on alerting the 992 driver to the danger ahead.
Get past an accident as quickly as possible , coming to a virtual stop wont help anyone and its just asking to get leathered up the arse by a clown like the Porsche wizzing by into the armco. Golf was lucky not to get collected there. I know there was a fair bit of debris but grass was pretty clear , self preservation got to kick in.
Depends on what the grass was like. It has rained alot recently so it could have sodden. As a marshal I would rather get through safely than risk getting stuck also.
I'm not sure that is good advice
Situation dependant, if conditions are dry and no cars ahead of you are moving then yes, but in this case he had to wait for the Golf to make a decision whether to go on the grass or not
VW Golf, wrecks 911 😢
You need to check yourself before you wreck yourself!!
Pointless
