I came to the UK in 2004 from India, I fell in Love with this country. I can't possibly go back and live in India. My advice - do not come to the UK if you want to bring India with you and if you are not ready to mix with British people.

This is very good video Suman, though bit misleading. Few things to clarify, Income tax is misleading. In UK please always use marginal tax for actual deduction, for example on a 40K salary you pay Income Tax + Employee NI (tax with another name) , so actually you pay substantial more then Income tax. UK is very bad for wealth creation, UK is high capitol gains tax, 40% inheritance Tax. You pay 40% tax when you die. When taxes are high you will not be able to make wealth in your life time. This is one of the reason lot of wealthy individuals are moving out of UK.
I agree, UK is decent place to live but definitely not a place to make/accumulate wealth.

Cast system in India is a disgrace. I hope you get to to go back and try and change it and make it better for people just like you rather than just stay here and let only your daughter benefit.

In UK, there's a similar system with lords, dukes and commoners. -_-

@ it seems he prefers our system however and benefits here as it seems he can’t do as well for himself there at all does it? Not to mention the untouchables.

Thanks Suman for sharing your ideas and I agree with most of your views. But just to give you my perspective I have to be honest UK is no more a place you can live a life which is safe and see the taxes which we are paying. Yes no country is perfect. In last 10 years or so lot of Indians in UK and West including US have moved back to India especially the Technology space I come from. Even I am thinking to go back as I have been here for nearly 20 years. In India if you have money then the life is far better than UK this is my view as India is changing at a rapid pace especially the South and West.
