I love helping new bros. Simply because if the new bro doesn't leave the game, and doesn't get frustrated he might become an old bro whom I will be able to hunt in spooky space :) Oh and my tip is: Train for the fit first, not the ship. When I first started I kept training for bigger ships, but I couldn't fit them properly, so I ended up with a battlecruiser with small guns and crap like that. Train for the fit, not the ship.
In my opinion, just go for fits is not totaly accurate. I'd recommend to go for stuff in the following order: - If you are in a corp, train into the easiest corp fleet ship. - then up to cruiser or even battleship of your corp faction in Case they offer such ships as well - a basic fit for at least a cruiser from your corp - up to cruiser/battleship of each faction because it can come in really hand - modules and fittings for your corp faction up to best possible on normal corp ships And then whatever you please Note: this is Just about ships and fits, Not about any other Type of skills you might need.
I just have a short term goal, figure out what ship I need for that goal (usually its a goal like "be able to rat in j-space" or "max out gas huffing skills and get a t2 gas huffing ship", so I find a fit, train for that fit, then buy the ship. Always in that order. Actually before all of that learn how to use the fit lol.
you can also "jump" thru a gate directly... instead of warping to 0 to your selected gate... you can just click on jump and once you arrive at the gate and get off warp you will jump automatically.... just an FYI
Dude, the learning curve of EVE in the final graphic... it's amazing.... lol I've been there, hanging and falling a lot of times... I'm just few monthes playing it
Still a good video in 2019. Something I have really noticed here lately is some people's total reliance on fitting layouts. I ran into a guy last week that had been playing since 2010. He honestly had no idea how to fit a ship without going and finding a fit online. I asked him why he was running a particular module and he had no idea why or what I meant. The only thing he knew was "that's what the fit from eve uni had" Don't get me wrong. I'm a member of eve uni and they have some good solid fits and I've been playing since 2004. I use the method you showed all the time but I am shocked at people out there that don't know squat about fitting a ship. You brought up the mastery part of skills and that is important. That really let's you know why you are fitting certain mods in certain places. I'll stop ranting lol. Again great video still today!
Bama Chad I’ve been playing for 2 days now and don’t know squat like one of those people you can’t stand. Any tips on how I can get this information? You mentioned you fit mods based on what skills you’ve mastered is that correct?
I'm a new player and yeah there's a big learning curve and so far I've really only done missions but I gotta say it's probably the most immersive game I've ever played
It's like you said "You need to take break from it!" I took a looong break from EVE, approx. 3-3,5 years. Before I started up again nov-2018. Since then I've been more focused about what I want with the game. Found a great corp. That's helping me out a ton. A good, friendly corp. Is THE most important thing in EVE. Playing EVE always solo, is just a mind killer and you WILL leave EVE fast. Just the last mont I've learned a ton and I'm well on my way to understand the game more then I would ever do solo. So with this video, with that multi buy and multi fit:) That will cost me alot of ISK though, but what's ISK, if your not going to spend it on a ship that's going to be blown to pieces:) I really liked this video, so keep up the good work and have fun:)
This is the type of game you can play 50 hours a week for 2 years straight and still feel like a complete and utter noob. It looks great i'm no stranger to more mentally challeging games but this is just a masssssive learning curve. And i've heard some rather unpleasant things about extremely toxic communities and veterans bored out of their mind and they harrash new players for fun.
Very true at the moment i'm a tad busy with a exame but once things cool down for a bit i'll give it a go. I've been wanting to play Eve for awhile now but the learning curve is a tad...daunting. Once it's time to give it a go i'll be sure to check out all your videos mate this one is quite informative. But for now you'll have to settle for just a sub haha.
Loved this video, dude! Started playing yesterday and ended up blowing 12 damn hours just playing through and getting some of the basics, losing ships, etc. Really loved this, man!
digg the vid bud, you did a phenomenal job with being informative about the game. I'm a couple weeks in and I'm now looking to see how I can maintain my omega status. Wish you well, and keep up the good work!
I really really appreciate that! Good luck and welcome to Eve! Also, I'm happy to answer any other questions that you may have to help you get started off on the right foot!!
Great vid, ive been on and off EVE for a few weeks when im bored of E:D bugs, trying to get into the swing of things and this helped a ton man, good work. Thankyou👍
Thank you SO MUCH! I love helping new people and I'm so glad this helped you. It took me forever to figure out how to even jump 3 gates in eve when I was new, so hopefully this helps at least a couple people get past the initial struggle bus. What is E:D btw?
A fair warning, there are some fits on EUNI that are outdated and use modules that were pre-tiercide. For the most part though all the fits are pretty solid.
ive had a character on this game for about three years and no joke, during that time ive played about 10 hours, then over the last two days ive played about 20, and this video has helped me a tonne so thanks i appreciate it!
I set autopilot at one point, then left for the bathroom, got further delayed. Then got back 4-5 jumps into low-sec. There were red-ish systems on the route, but as I came from a year in null - it was completely normal...
I am thinking about playing this game. I would be a complete noob and was wondering if the information in this top 10 still applies in August of 2020? Thanks for the info and efforts!

Where do you put your money? You say don't have in your ship. I assume you have to buy or own all the weapons/fittings you copy and paste? I know its an old thread but today i did something stupid my ship is insured at platinum but i decided for the fun of it try to hit outer ring as a newer player for valuable ore, i set it on autopilot over 30 jumps away, 6 jumps left i walk away and come back im dead spawned in some dock. I realized that autopilot leaves you in slow limbo too and sometimes too close to warp to the next gate. I didnt lose anything i had all really basic replaceable stuff.
exactly, click on the gate and hit the jump button you will warp to and thru it, same with docking...click on a station and hit dock, you will warp and then drop and dock super fast
I feel like something like Insta-undocks at the stations your frequently at & home location is something I didn't learn until I joined a FW corp. Something I love now lol. I just came back to eve and as someone (minmitar in FW) I have alts in Jita & Amarr space along with another account for hauling ( I've trained what I could on the alpha account) and my last account is my station trader and in all hubs but minmitar since my mains home station is a jump away from the Minnie's Trade Hub. I still prefer not fighting in anything higher than a destroyer, Idk I like the solo & Small gang content I get with a cheap rifter or the 100 thrashers for everything I have fit lol.
Pretty nice tipps I do have a few gripes tho. Like what's the Point of having the fanciest ships and lots of other stuff when it's just sitting around because you don't wanna loose it?I know I'd be that way; not wanna loose what I've been grinding for for so Long. I generally don't take too well to random PK-ing.I'm generally not into PK-ing outside of dedicated PvP Areas/modes. As for trading with Players, sounds good to get lots of ISK that way, tho I don't trust myself with getting good Prices for stuff tho. When it's about Long term Goals, I like to have one. Tho in most cases where I have played games, that Goal usually was tied to a narrative of sorts, mostly being to finish the Story of the game. Emergent gameplay has very rarely kept me invested for Long because it felt rather boring to me without a central narrative. I'm also not one to seek contact with others in games. If it's not a dedicated multiplayer game, I prefer to Keep to myself. THat's because I've mostly played singleplayer over the years and contacting other Players feels very awkward to me.
I totally understand what you mean. I played Eve solo for two years and I had a blast. It wasn't until I finally got in with a good corporation (RDRAW) that the game got extremely fun. It was faction warfare PVP with an amazing team. Together we took down titans and faction super carriers including a Vendetta. There is nothing like dropping a Dreadnaught on an enemy and doing 60k dmg a shot. Don't be afraid to lose ships. That's just part of the game. Just don't put all of your isk into ONE ship. Frigates are extremely effective at PVP and t1 cruisers (Vexor) hit way above their weight class and allow you the opportunity to make tons of isk on PVE/PVP action. Get out there and have fun. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything. zkillboard.com/kill/63138708/
@@eveexpertguides995 It's just that for someone like me, a game that relies so much on community and emergent gameplay is pretty much the opposite to what I've been used to. And at this point, I do think of staying away from the bigger corporations. For one because I feel more at home being all on my own - even tho it probably makes me an easy target for pirates and such - and because I don't want to be pulled into something, like it happened with the members of CO2. I also don't really want to take part in faction based PvP - or any type of "random" PvP. I just wanna go on my own thing in peace. I know that's asking a bit much in a game like this.
@@inquisitorichijou883 I play the same way, I know what you mean. I mostly do solo exploration. WINGSPAN TT is a fun RUclipsr to watch if you like solo stuff. He mostly does solo exploration/pvp though. I haven't gotten into PVP yet because I'm just not interested in killing someone unless they're out to kill me.
Honestly, #s 1, 3, & 6 are probably the most important. "People looove to help in this game." Hm. They also love to gank. And scam. And con-trap. And subjugate. And bait-trap. And... Learn how and who to trust. It's not a game skill, it's a social skill.
I know you will have a tons of fun , meet amazing people , and be very successful on eve online. Please do not hesitate to message me, in game character ' fallenxion ' if you need anything.
Can you help me im having problems with purchasing stuff i want to be ready but everytime i buy it says i need skills i bought the skill it still didnt work.
After you buy the skill book you have to right click on it and inject it. From there you have to go into your skill queue in your character sheet and add that skill and then start learning it. Perhaps add screen shots and more details and I'll try to help you more
Cant wait to watch this... hard to find a new guide for alpha clone after the new patch... started 5 days ago.. and sisters of eve missions are kicking my ass.
You are absolutely right man! But if you stick with it and try your best to learn it will be one of the best games you have ever played! Also, Check out tip number 10 and the learning curve! It's steep!! ruclips.net/video/soGDpbVZi9E/видео.htmlm41s
Today is my 3rd day in EO. I've only had the chance to play for about 6 hours total...but videos like this are insanely helpful. Also, I discovered last nght that if you click on the ? icon at the bottom-left of your bar (on the left of your screen) it opens the Eve University. A lot of baked in videos and tutorial information as well. I've been learning a lot just between that and videos like this one, which by the way, is a great video. That multifit tip.... would've never known about it. Also the wiki page. The fact that you can just copy/paste information directly into the game is insanely helpful.
Took me an hour to figure out how to move stuff from personal inventory into cargo hold. Just open a menu and drag and drop. This game is very complex, but is a ton of fun.
The games strong suit is player agency. You are free. There is nothing you cannot do if you put your mind to it. The problem is you have to be self motivated. If you can't motivate yourself to do something in EVE nothing else will. It is not a game for the type that have to be told what to do. You are the boss, you make your own rules.
good vid, but I would argue there are easier ways to make isk for #2. ratting for example. station trading is to variable and requires constantly updating your knowledge about the market. It also has the potential to empty out your wallet much faster than the occasional t1 frigate loss.
Hi Bebop, Great point! However, station trading is much more scalable you can only earn so much from ratting! But you can earn billions a day from station trading.
Hi! It is free to play with bad skills. But if you want to get the full experience, you are forced to grind a lot, or pay the price of 50 plex cards (equivalent of 1 month worth of game time) in hard cash.
Eve Expert Guides thank you for that! This game is still going strong after so long? I really want to play it before it becomes older than it is. I will be playing other games on what I build but this game is the reason for the build!
To be honest you don't need a super computer to run eve online - It's very friendly on graphics cards BUT the graphics have aged extremely well (they keep them regularly updated). I have been absolutely stunned by the amazing scenery in Eve Online. Right now there are 25,000 players logged into the game AND they have the Alliance tournament happening today which is basically where 'professional' eve online players compete against eve other. It's quite fun to watch , you can find it here; www.twitch.tv/ccp
Maybe the most important: The game is full of jerks, do not abandon after they destroy your first ship, just accept it is part of the mechanics and enjoy delivering back that hit. 👍
@@loveisthemostpowerfulforce1397 quite hard, but you can upgrade your account to premium for a continuous period of time if you are able to make enough ingame currency with a free-to-play account, you just need to find the most profitable activity.
Why do almost all "New Player Guides" seem to assume you are Omega? 50% of the modules for the "basic" Magnate fit you shared are not available for new Alpha players.
Hi! It's because this video and probably all the others were made before there was such thing as Alpha and Omega clones. This video here ruclips.net/video/2mn3YViPz0Y/видео.html I'm using my ALPHA clone and he's exploring with a magnate. All modules on this video are alpha clone friendly for sure! Thanks for watching!
You can always dock in NPC owned stations. If your gallente standing becomes -5 you may get attacked by the Federation police , but I don't think they warp scramble in high sec so you should have enough time to warp away and dock up.
Does the mission want you to take an acceleration gate? If so, then click on the gate (gate after you warp into the mission) and hold , the gate will present you with a radial menu, choose "activate gate" . If you still can't figure it out after that then google the mission name, if still no luck just quit the mission and move on. There will be many many more missions to choose from
You need a PhD to play this game, also nothing happens, the"older bros" just scammed me and destroy my ship just for the fun of it as one of them puts it to me, you can tell they are bored out of their brains with this game. Still wish I haved seeing your tutorials. But I can't commit to this kind of game.
You can start with as little as a 100,000 isk. You have to start somewhere. If you do all of the career missions those agents will give at least 10 mil
When does one know enough to become a "new player"?.. I've been here 2 days and have no idea what you're talking about and cant seem to find "brand new player" vids... all seem to assume that you have some basic knowledge. All I see is the curser moving across the screen at warp speed accompanied by terminology which is like Greek to me.
First thing to become a "newbie" is complete the tutorial and then sisters epic arc wiki.eveuniversity.org/Getting_Started_in_EVE_Online . Message me if you have any questions. Welcome and good luck!

"People looove to help in this game."
Hm. They also love to gank. And scam. And con-trap. And subjugate. And bait-trap. And...
Learn how and who to trust. It's not a game skill, it's a social skill.

Wow Mr blonde plays eve, actually it makes sense, cool video btw👍
Who is mr Blonde?
@@eveexpertguides995 Michael Madsen, you sound like him, Mr blonde was the character he played out of reservoir dogs.
@@deubie0211 Wow! What a compliment. Thank you!
Thanks but isn’t the fastest way to buy ISK is to buy plex and sell?
This helped me so much❤️. Thanks
Yay! You're welcome
Another major trade hub, Hek. Boarders a pipe to low sec and null sec.
why you upload 320x240 resolution like if it was 1080p?
Thank you for these tips. 😊
Thank you 🤗
Thanks for the extra help I am getting what I need to run this online great game.
Perhaps add screen shots and more details and I'll try to help you more
thank you
Cant wait to watch this... hard to find a new guide for alpha clone after the new patch... started 5 days ago.. and sisters of eve missions are kicking my ass.
Welcome to Eve!
what ship is that, it looks cool 0:38
Stratios, and it is probably the coolest ship in the game.
Great taste in music. Love me some lofi.
; ) Thank you!
Tip 11: Learn basic landmarking/bookmarking
I watched two minutes and I'm already lost. This game is so unfriendly to new players...
Lol, u must be a sad person XD Did I ever accomplished smth in life?
The games strong suit is player agency.
You are free. There is nothing you cannot do if you put your mind to it.
The problem is you have to be self motivated. If you can't motivate yourself to do something in EVE nothing else will. It is not a game for the type that have to be told what to do. You are the boss, you make your own rules.
funny stuff to watch for a 2003 EVE vet who have been away from eve since 2012..
Can you do a video on how to make isk in the manganate fit you showed? Ive bought the fit but no clue what do with it lol
I would start with high sec exploration. I have a video about it right here using the magnate fit - ruclips.net/video/2mn3YViPz0Y/видео.html
You're awesome man... great tips...thanks...
Thanks for watching!
1st video huh 🤔 already spitting good knowledge.
good vid, but I would argue there are easier ways to make isk for #2. ratting for example. station trading is to variable and requires constantly updating your knowledge about the market. It also has the potential to empty out your wallet much faster than the occasional t1 frigate loss.
Hi Bebop, Great point! However, station trading is much more scalable you can only earn so much from ratting! But you can earn billions a day from station trading.
hmmm. true :D
i really want to get in to this game but its getting boring doing stuff solo not sure how long ill last lol
If you want to play in a group, find a player-run Corp to join and play with.
dude, awesome vid thanks so much liked and subbed
Thank you man! I really needed that!
@@eveexpertguides995 it was real nic e you were to the point and the info was instantly usable
Thank you for your tips man, I recently started playing this awesome game
Awesome! Welcome to EVE! I'm so glad you're having fun!
dang this game so unnecesary complex, but that kinda atracts to try...lets see if i get anywhere
Go for it! It's free to play
Hi! It is free to play with bad skills. But if you want to get the full experience, you are forced to grind a lot, or pay the price of 50 plex cards (equivalent of 1 month worth of game time) in hard cash.
I've only used autopilot when doing a lot of jumping between station to station.
Good Talk! Thank you:-)
Thanks Bob! I needed those good vibes this morning :p
jita 4.4 is the trade and market hub of all hubs!
1200 player in jita, good times
Spot on, cheers for the help!
So is this game pretty much the Crusader Kings 2 of space?
Great vid, thanks!
Thank you!
you can afk auto pilot around high sec no problem. People wont be there to kill you. Also NEVER warp to 0 outside of high sec.
thanks dude. will watch this all later
Thank you!
What is a good PC set up to run this game? Newbie question I know.
Sure! This is pretty much what I've been using for the past six years and it's still running great! pcpartpicker.com/user/jmuslack/saved/rKzYTW
Yeah don't discouraged. You will lose a lot of ships but that will make you better and better at the game!!
Well isn't fair? You are also allowed to destroy THEIR ship. I haven't played the game yet so I don't know how hard it is for Free to Play players.
You have THE golden Magnet?
Haha! I wish! I love the magnate!!! In isk equivalent the golden magnate probably cost around 500bil. Do you have one?
Very helpful video but your fx6300 is bottlenecking the GTX980
Thanks for watching! Yeah I think you're right! I need a processor upgrade BAD! I just got a PS4 , so I've just been messing around on that lately.
nice lowfi at 13min
Thanks!
So if I am from the Caldari race, can I still dock into the Federation stations without getting blown up by Federation NPCs?
You can always dock in NPC owned stations. If your gallente standing becomes -5 you may get attacked by the Federation police , but I don't think they warp scramble in high sec so you should have enough time to warp away and dock up.
@@eveexpertguides995 aight thanks

I think I will stay with playing Leauge of Legends 0.0
League is fun too
I WANT TO DIE. THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEO, VERY INSIGHTFUL. MY CAPS LOCK IS ON HOLY FUCK I'M TRASHED
Rip amarr
I can't even find the place to warp to after I warped to a mission wth
Does the mission want you to take an acceleration gate? If so, then click on the gate (gate after you warp into the mission) and hold , the gate will present you with a radial menu, choose "activate gate" . If you still can't figure it out after that then google the mission name, if still no luck just quit the mission and move on. There will be many many more missions to choose from
Ohh Thanks!
Love you.
Love you too!
GASP :D
thx for the vid

Yea fuck mods
boneworks
Glad your helping but, this din't help me as a beginner at all.
Hey! No problem. Thanks for watching anyways! What would be helpful to know as a beginner to eve?
you can buy low but THE GAME REGARDLESS OF SKILL LVL you can NOT sell any higher than what it recommends ! dont do this tip or ( trick )
You need a PhD to play this game, also nothing happens, the"older bros" just scammed me and destroy my ship just for the fun of it as one of them puts it to me, you can tell they are bored out of their brains with this game. Still wish I haved seeing your tutorials. But I can't commit to this kind of game.
Buy low & sell high for us BEGGINERS? With what ISK? lol
You can start with as little as a 100,000 isk. You have to start somewhere. If you do all of the career missions those agents will give at least 10 mil
Tip #1: Don't die
Tip #2: See Tip #1
When does one know enough to become a "new player"?.. I've been here 2 days and have no idea what you're talking about and cant seem to find "brand new player" vids... all seem to assume that you have some basic knowledge. All I see is the curser moving across the screen at warp speed accompanied by terminology which is like Greek to me.
First thing to become a "newbie" is complete the tutorial and then sisters epic arc wiki.eveuniversity.org/Getting_Started_in_EVE_Online . Message me if you have any questions. Welcome and good luck!
@@eveexpertguides995 Thanks so much for that!... heaps of info there to soak up in the link you gave me. The game looks brilliant and I really want to get into it, but guess I was becoming a bit frustrated. I'll come back to this video again in a week and I'm sure it'll make more sense to me. :)
