This is Medicine: SUNY Downstate Class of 2016

This film, which takes you through a visual journey of going through medical school in NYC, was produced in our final year as medical students at the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY.
The goal of this film was to share the personal struggles that medical students face but most often are too afraid to discuss. These struggles are often overlooked in the field of medicine, and we hope that this film can be an avenue for medical students to empathize with the experiences of those in the film and inspire them to share their own struggles. We also hope that this film opens the door for administrators and faculty to understand what life is like as a medical student.
This film and its abstract were presented in October 2015 at the 17th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Bioethics & Humanities (ASBH) in Houston, TX.
