Vazhalikav is a small temple located near Bharathapuzha in a small area called Vazhalipadam in Painkulam village of Panjal gram panchayat in Thrissur district.
Vazhalikav is located at a distance of nine kilometers from Shornur station. Although the vehicle can reach near the temple, it is better to walk from the beginning of the field to the temple. A walk along a path drawn in the middle of a vast field by the pale catate is an experience in itself. Vazhalikav offers different viewing experiences in every season.
തൃശൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ പാഞ്ഞാൾ ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിലുള്ള പൈങ്കുളം ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ വാഴാലിപ്പാടം എന്ന കൊച്ചു പ്രദേശത്ത് ഭാരതപ്പുഴയോട് ചേർന്ന് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ചെറു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് വാഴാലിക്കാവ്.
ഷൊർണൂർ റെയിൽവേ സ്റ്റേഷനിൽ നിന്നും ഏതാണ്ട് ഒമ്പതുകിലോമീറ്റർ മാറിയാണ് വാഴാലിക്കാവ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനടുത്തുവരെ വാഹനം പോവുമെങ്കിലും വയൽ തുടങ്ങുന്നതുമുതൽ ക്ഷേത്രം വരെ നടക്കുന്നതാണ് നല്ലത്. ഇളംകാറ്റേറ്റ് വിശാലമായ വയലിനു നടുക്ക് വരച്ചുവച്ചതുപോലെയുള്ള പാതയിലൂടെയുള്ള നടത്തം ഒരു അനുഭവം തന്നെയാണ്. ഓരോ ഋതുവിലും വ്യത്യസ്തമായ കാഴ്ചാനുഭവങ്ങളാണ് വാഴാലിക്കാവ് തരുന്നത്.
