For context, I'm tryharding f2p on Day 72, and I have enough temporal essence to upgrade 7 weapons to +10 (from DR and all one time bonuses/events). I will still get some from faction tower soon, but not enought for 8th weapon right away

This was a good discussion/guide. I have to admit I also have Thoran at +8 from the Prydwen guide and next time I get more yellows, I should push him to +10 along with Damien. Or maybe just forget him and give it to Hewynn. Man, we need more yellows. I am so sick of the pile of reds in my inventory.

I thought that they didn't raise ex on Thoran for the same reason in afk arena. Raising his ex raises his stats which reduces his ult damage because he takes less damage. I'm just guessing though.
Maybe. Too bad Prydwen does not explain the logic behind this.
I'm pretty sure the logic is just that the +10 ability upgrade is not very impactful for some heroes (for thoran it's a small increase in the healing that he gets), but the cost from 8 -> 10 is 50 essence total. Where as the cost from 5-8 is "only" 30 essence total and it gives still decent amount of hard stats. Different levels also seem to give different stats, so there might be some key stats in play at certain levels.
On a side note, do you think you would ever take a hero to ex-25?

I gotta question Cassadee being so highly placed. She's really fallen of in DR and her niche in high deficit pushing doesn't need EX10.
I was debating the same thing tbh. With regards to deficit pushing, she is one of the few heroes who can actually clean up remaining enemies who survive the blue fog.

Yes that is correct. You need 75 temporal essences to get a hero from ex5 to ex10, whereas you need 200 of them to get them from ex10 to ex15. So more efficient to get as many heroes viable at ex10 as possible.
so ex 10 damian also increases non summoned allies haste from 40 to 50? i hope so

When people say they are pushing at a deficit, are they talking about power levels? Like, if their team had 30k power and they are fighting 90k power, is that a 3x deficit?
I think it's level deficit, which most likely means there is a power deficit, but deficit pushing is when the opposing team has out leveled you, but you're still pushing for a higher stage in the afk stages
Yes that is correct. Basically you are at a huge power disadvantage and pushing above your weight class.

I got Odie to +21, do not go higher than 20 unless you a whale (a mistake I did)

Shakir and Themesia are worth getting to ex10, just maybe not as high of a priority as the other heroes

@turtlelagzgaming Server 365. Other server 517, very, very low, spent something like 80 eur. Top 10 in the arena, missing around 50 points always to get to the top 5 and get first-time rewards:) and top 20 in DR always.
Actually, I feel bad for big big spenders, as low spender not far away , at the end...
600 euro is whale territory, it is not small spending
