- G'day guys, I finally got one of my WL TOYS 144001 back out for a speed run.
This New Build is all under the shell, with no side trays. Using a single 3S lipo @138 KPH that is 85.7mph this is the fastest pass i have seen and a new PB for me in this configuration.

It's a 1/10 buggy wing off eBay I cut down a fair bit for less Aero
Great run and awesome to see that with everything under the shell! you were best to play it safe with the police around. It was surreal seeing your single cap as I've just put on order a 18000uF 50V single can (screw terminals) to use on my infraction. I figured like you may have, one large one was going to be less work than building board/getting pcb made for 4 small ones. Like the way you fitted that in. I may do the same on my 4tec speed run car. I can see you hitting 90 with it in that config.

@@beev2123 the title didn't say massive bust or police raid it just said busted as in "caught in the act" which is exactly what happened they saw me do a speed run and the car run to both ends of road.
Front shock tower is a great air brake. A little bit of aero around it will give some more speed.

Dude I got a question mind I'm full of questions. But what are you doing with that nasty plastic second deck/brace. How do you fit it all in I can't get my stock body back on even with wiring tight as can be. Got a truck body on the way but won't do anything for air flow.
This esc actually fits in the stock position on this build. A little tip is to extend the body mounting posts if need be 😉

You burnt that car out in the background with the record dude. Keep on setting those pbs. Any chance you could do a video on any modes you made to steering ect. My stock 144001 wheels wobble crazy even if they're tightened right up. Looking for tips any help
That's classic 🤣 👌 yeah it was rather odd the whole car body chilling there burnt out! Yeah man I have been thinking about doing some of my speed run secrets in a video and how I firm up the steering on these little things
@@TheRCMaster The burnt car is there because of joyriders, it's all caught on camera, the vehicle has been removed from the area.
Yeah man if you could do a video on the steering I think you'd get major respect from the RUclips community. These cars get dossed by some ppl because it cheap but I think it's got potential.

That motor has a bigger shaft , what are using, for gears ?👍🏻
It's a stock 3650 1/10 Style motor with a 3.175mm pinion and stock gears. It's a 4.5 t xerun and to my knowledge about 7000kv. I'm glad you enjoyed mate 👍 thanks for watching 😊

What attachment do you use to attach your range extender to the remote? Also do you just cut and attach an XT60 to the stock power cord for the extender?

Hey mate, I tried my 4s setup finally but it keeps cutting out. I don't know if it's just my old batterys or something else but I'm not running a extra/external capacitor, would that help stop cutouts? I can go to 6s but I don't really want to yet. Nice 3s PB by the way.👍
Cheers mate I'm glad you enjoyed that 💪 The cap will only smooth out ripple but the cut off is probably caused by the esc protection. Low voltage or thermal, what capacity batteries are you running and have you checked how much resistance in the lipos?
@@TheRCMaster I don't really know how to check the resistance 🤔 but it's not thermal, my lipo's are 1300mah 4s 40c but there old 3 + years and running almost 1/1 gear ratio won't help. I'm getting a pair of 1500mah 4s 120c lipo, that WILL help👍 128kph so far with the cutout so it should be pretty fast. I taped it but I don't know how to edit out all the crap, I'm not good at any film/edit stuff.

There are some idiots in the area always skidding or destroying cars there, sometimes there is that much rubber and tire belt wire I can't even use the road! last time I was there some someone just dumped a huge load of rubbish on the sidewalk ruined the scene.

It was a Wltoys 1/18 aftermarket bumper I flattened out and added a rear wing from a 9*9 as the front splitter

It's a 6-16 v range booster for added range. Back in my earlier videos I explain it in a little more detail

Fully custom mate, I'll have a look at trying to dig up a link for the wing before I cut it up but it may have expired it was so long ago! The front splitter is a combination of 9*9 1/18 rear wing and a steel bumper

Why do youuse a range booster? The dumborc have out of the box 500m range
I won't ever downgrade from my futaba 4pk Sr it's one of the best radio of all time period. I have over 2 km range with the booster I was using a sanma Mt44 with a booster but way prefer the futaba 🙌 you go ahead and use the Dumbo by all means it's just not for me

So you know it was just a normal day of my racing wltoys rc buggy at a road then this cop comes while my rc car was coming back the cop run s over my fucking rc i reoportedd and got my money back he saw the car it had bright green shell he ran it
It over and i was at my home road he was slowing down and then pressed the gass and came back and say did i break that car i orderd a car agoin and got some parts of it
