The house is really looking nice, it must be so exciting for you to watch its transformation one step closer from a house to a home. I live in northwestern NJ and we had a foot of snow last Thursday, I wasn’t thrilled but Mother Nature will do her thing anyway. Fast forward one week to now, it almost all melted.
Love seeing the progress. First snowfall is always so pretty! We chose the exact same sink and taps for our little Red Roof Cottage. We love them! ☕️🇨🇦☕️
Your house is looking beautiful.Shes looking loved and cared for.The white with green trim was a great choice and I love the porch, can just picture you sitting out there in all seasons really just relaxing and enjoying the different vistas each season brings.
Im so excited for you both. Its so much fun to watch your excitement for following your dream for this old fatm house. And snow changes a lot of perspectives. We get very little snow but it seems to really quiet things and gives you time to enjoy life a little slower. Cant wait to see what happens next.
Wow! It looks great! I love the porch, especially the "gingerbreading." I agree that watching someone paint is therapeutic. I love to watch Bob Ross on PBS. It is audibly and visually relaxing. Have a very happy Thanksgiving! Love that farmhouse sink too. Anything else just wouldn't look right.
One of the joys of winter at your new house will be watching the changing colors and textures of the lake - it's closer than I first thought. The house is looking wonderful - I hope you can get the painting done before the cold weather sets in permanently. The basement looks so much bigger without all the equipment. Fabulous! You might want to insulate pipes if the basement isn't heated. But the upside of an unheated basement is that it's a great place to store food. I love the views of the lath and plaster and original boards. The details of how they're made and what color they are will help date them. And the hand hewn piece of beam is really exciting! I can see you and Peter in this house next Thanksgiving, warm and snug in front of your pretty wood stove, and eating food that has come from your garden. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving this year, and thanks for sharing your journey with us. I think most of us are living our old house reno vicariously through you!
It might be fun at this point for you to share some side-by-side photos of the house from the same angle, showing before and after. So many big changes!
It's looking beautiful and thanks for sharing your snow, I'm on the south coast of England and even we had some snow this week and that's very rear, I'm less than a mile from the beach. ❤
Your house is looking beautiful, I'm enjoying the progress being made. I think a mint, or sage green front door would look amazing with the shade of green you picked for the trim of the house. It would really pop.
It's amazing what a little paint can bring to life. Didn't you mention a lake behind the house? Is that what I'm seeing or do I need stronger glasses ☺️? Things are moving along quickly and your home is becoming a beauty. Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving Felicity & Peter. I'm loving it of course. She's looking great. If I may...please reconsider painting chimney green. Perhaps a limestone color if at all. Sincerely, Ken 😊
Love the white and green paint. You will have to watch out for the water pipes in the basement beside the window, especially if you do not heat the basement. The winter in the North can freeze pipes.
Wow! You got progress! I love the sink and the pull down fawcet. So the hot water heater is going to serve the whole house? Interesting. It would be preferable to having a big tank. 🙂👍👍🇨🇦
Hello and happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🦃 Hope you and your will have a wonderful day ❤ The house looks great and I am so looking forward to your first xmas decorations when the house is done. In germany we dont have Thanksgiving but we do have harvestfest at the end of september. And ofcause on sunday its the first advent. Yesterday I baked Stollen in a glas and today I made some Lebkuchen. There is dough for Spekulatius and Vanillacookies in the fridge waiting. We have had the first snow last week.. so from me and the Mr cats ( Otis and Blacky ) to you.. happy Thanksgiving and happy 1. Advent ❤
I watch a channel called, Sidestep: Adventures Into History. A man named Robert visits old abandoned cemetery’s and homes. He also sometimes cleans graves and cleans the overgrown forgotten cemetery’s. It’s a quiet channel out of Waverly Hall Georgia. I hope you give a view, I think you might like it.
I also used to watch the side step or this old house he has which he has been working on for the last five years and it doesn’t seem like much is getting done. Robert doesn’t know how to go about redoing that house so I wouldn’t give him any credit just people thatknow what they’re doing. He gets them to work for nothing.
Yes, I like your channel 1st time I visit it and the house is just beautiful. I hope you continue doing what you’re doing. You’re doing it the right way get the windows the roof and outside done and you got all the time in the world to do the inside very nice. I love the way you’re going about it. Everybody that catches a peak now that it’s all done on the outside. Can only imagine what it’s going to look like on the inside good work keep it up.
Another building saved & being turned back into a much loved home. BRAVO 👏😊
❤ HAPPY THANKSGIVING....GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ❤

He is also rehabilitating an old farm house. He has a RUclips channel for it called The Old Byrd Farm. I love his videos.
Busy road for rural life.
Already had snow here in Colorado

Looking really good. Do you hope to moved in by Christmas or is that a bit too optimistic?
