The Stro Show is right!!!! He touched my heart stepping off the mound after that last out. You could see how emotional he was. This W was a breath of fresh air! 👏🏻🫶🏻👏🏻
Great performance by Stroman today. He really kept the powerful Rays lineup off balance. They were swinging at a lot of pitches they should have taken. Fortunately Stroman threw a great game, because the Cubs' offense certainly was not going to win this game. When will Ross ever learn how to fill out a lineup? Mastrobuoni was hitting .171 coming into the game, and he bats leadoff? Swanson has hit well over his passed five games, and he is moved down to 5th? And why is Rios not sent down to work on his hitting?
As aNYer,I miss MS..He's a throwback : compact, good control, excellent fielder, can go the distance. The Mets instead signed Scherzer, who is now a 5inning "starter".Scouts should be on the lookout for more Stromans, not 6'6" stiffs that they seem tobe superficially impressed with.
Really I take it you don't watch very many Cub games if he is lucky he may get one at bat a week he needs at least 3 or 4 starts in a row to find out if he can do anything but that won't happen so we will never know some other team will pick him up and start him every day and his power will show up
@@davidtidey7402 Rios was playing every day in the minors, and he didn't hit there either. He briefly showed some promise with the Dodgers, but nothing since.
I've been to two games this year, Smyly's near-perfect game, and Stromasterpiece. I guess I'm just good luck for the pitching. I'll be there tonight as well, so hopefully hendricks can cook
Marcus Stroman, NL LEADER in WHIP, innings pitched, 2nd in ERA, Gold Glove defense... First in passion and fun to watch -- Cubs' stopper today.
THE LITTLE UNIT! 🔥🚀

Hah, not bad. Is that original, or has he been called that before?

Kudos to Strowman absoloute stellar preformance
Not a cubs fan but love watching strowman work he attacks hitters, all of his pitches have so much movement it’s hard to barrel him up. Dude is nasty💯
As a rays fan it was an honor to be at this game to witness 2 great pitching performances

I was at this game to🐻
Taj will be an Ace
@@lyhjiba definitely will be!
The Stro Show has been airing in prime time
What is it just me that sees this, but did Marcus Stroman do the thing that the rays player did where he flipped it to him self? 2:24
The 9th had me clenching but the stars aligned. *UNCLENCH*
Great game. GO CUBS!
Congratulations Strongman
Stroman was again, brilliant! On a day where the bats were pretty cold again, Stroman just got it done.

extend this man!!!!!
Don't. He's a good pitcher but a headcase and a cancer to club houses
😊 the stro show great 👍 Job
STRO BRO!!!!!!
STRO IS THAT GUY
Let's go Stro, let's go Stro!!!
aint no fans like cubs fans
Hopefully this win will finally give the cubs more bullpen more confidence
I was pretty neutral when it came to Stroman, I didn't love him or hate him but he's really been impressive lately.
True. Last year whenever I caught a game he pitched, the Cubs seemed to lose. This year? He's one of the few players Cub fans can cheer for.
EXTEND HIM
STROMAN!!!!!
Rios hitting .080 as DH? Would be better letting the pitcher hit. What kind of leverage does this guy have on Ross that he's in this game?
He was hitting .190 with Iowa. The proper question is: Why is Rios even in the organization?
