The cinematic art forms of Interior Mythos Journeys are an effort to reacquaint us with the practices and exercises that have the possibility of delivering us into an encounter with the timeless deep place that is forever with us, but that we have become very skilled at not noticing. Please encounter: Practice Within Suffering and Delusion... Finding Nirvana Within Saṃsāra
Our Mission: The curriculum of Interior Mythos Journeys is a quest to explore contemporary mythic language that is in harmony with the 21st Century, Global, Quantum Scientific, and Universal Reality in which we all actually live. Learn more at interiormythos...
As we solitarily and collectively claim the force of a relevant contemporary mythos, we are delivered to the possibility of life-lived-in-depth, the possibility of authentic life. This is the path beneath the surface.
The Transformative Encounter: The Practice of Contemplation
In the current age this transformative encounter, as well as the practices that deliver us to this encounter and the personal connection that flows from this encounter, is seldom the focus of our lives. Many of us wander disoriented through life, often on a self-destructive path, in a world seen, understood, and measured primarily by the external environment. We are disconnected from the Connecting Myth. We are disconnected from the interior depth to which the Connecting Myth might deliver us. Ironically, we have come to understand myth as a lie rather than a symbolic and metaphoric gateway to a deeper truth.

Andreas, yes, we love, and not love, this too! We mean…nothing! It is all too deep! Great to have you back on the channel. We appreciate your presence and comments.

I have severe anxiety disorder. I always feel better if my days have a structure or a daily routine. But on the other hand i dont want to depend on routines. So i am sitting down with myself for 9 months confronting myself with loneliness. I try to accept the anxiety from being alone after the seperation from my wife.
The anxiety becomes less when i have no resistance. But from what i understood Zazen should not be practised to seek anything..even peace.
I would like to know which path I can go. I have too much time because I work only few hours from home. I would like to use it wisely but I dont know if I should include a daily routine into my days like exercice...walking...meeting a friend for a talk ecetera.
I would be grateful for any advice. Thanks so much

Mickydee, yes, structure, routine, and daily rituals can be very helpful; especially when navigating an interior crisis. Do not become confused by any labels, including “Zazen.” The first step into the authentic practice of Zazen is to DENY ZAZEN! Just sit. Just practice. What you need to do and know and see and hear will come to you. Please consider a regular encounter with the 69 published Life Journey series videos on the homepage of the “Interior Mythos Journeys” RUclips channel. Valuable teaching. Thank you. This is something new-to live between suffering and enlightenment. Makes sense to me.

Golgipogo, Thank you for this comment and for visiting this special RUclips channel. We hope you will return often. Your insight, “living between suffering and enlightenment,” is precisely where authentic life is found; and nowhere else. A critical test of truth is paradox; no paradox, no truth. And, as you might suspect, “know paradox, know truth.” This is how it works. The core of this channel and its cross-tradition, universal message is contained in the “Life Journey” series; of which Abbot Okumura is one contributor. These are sequential cinematic art form modules guiding one deeper and deeper into consciousness and the practices of a contemporary contemplative. We suggest doing one sequential module per day or some regular schedule. The journey begins with “The Presence.” ruclips.net/video/gekfR1jrsko/видео.html
The top Comment listed under each module also contains a link to the next sequential art form. GO Deep!

Batman, thank you for this reflection. We have admired your superhero work for years and we are grateful you have discovered this special channel. We hope you will return often. But, nope, nihilism is not what this is all about. We suggest you explore this journey in more depth by encountering the “Life Journey” series on the homepage of the “Interior Mythos Journeys” RUclips Channel. These modules provide a sequential, guided, experiential path for the contemporary contemplative practitioner. Life Journey #7 - The Ultimate Journey is a good place to start. Just scroll down the home page. Check it out and keep in touch! GO Deep!
