@@RubyMVmistress the N.W.O. already arrived. They shocked the world, formed a group that terrorized WCW, then got too bloated and overexposed. The whole thing, burned out and fell apart. Only to be revived multiple times, with deminishing returns. It all started when Scott Hall showed up on Nitro that fateful Monday night. After hopping the barricade, he declared all-out-war on WCW. He was swiftly followed by Kevin Nash and together they formed "The Outsiders". A tag team that dominated the entire WCW roster for months. As the weeks lead up to the Bash At The Beach event, Hall and Nash started speaking of a "third man" who would join them in their takeover. The identity of this man would remain a mystery, as the defenders of WCW were put on edge, wondering if their was a traitor in their midst. Then, in night that would forever live in infamy, Lex Luger, Sting and The Macho Man Randy Savage attempted to take down The Outsiders once and for all. As the fight commenced, the "Third Man" was nowhere to be seen. The commentators began to wonder if the whole thing had been a ruse orchestrated by Hall and Nash to throw off the game plan of the WCW team. As the bout dragged on, it looked like The Outsiders were about to reign victorious over our heroes. Hulk Hogan ran to the ring to make the save for his friends and comrades in WCW. However, as soon as he reached ringside, everything would change. Hogan turned on Macho Man; dropping several Atomic Legdrops on the downed hero, securing the victory for The Outsiders in the main event. As Team WCW lay defeated, Hogan revealed himself to be the Third Man, aligning himself with Hall and Nash. The fans pelted the ring with garbage as the reality of Hogan's betrayal set in. Hogan began rambling on, denouncing Hulkamania, his fans, and his former heroic ways. A fan tried to jump the ring and was swiftly taken out by Scott Hall, as Hogan christened this new, evil, alliance: The N.W.O. From there, a several year long campaign to systematically tear down tbe foundations of WCW. Hogan captured and defaced the World Heavyweight Championship. While The Outsiders became the World Tag Team Champions. The N.W.O. would add many new memebers to their team including Syxx-Pac, Ted Dibiase, Virgil, Scott Norton, "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner, Buff Bagwell, and WCW executive: Eric Bischoff. Unfortunately, the group grew too large and unwieldy. The storyline itself dragged on for too long with no resolution in sight. What was once must-watch television, had become repettive and dull. The N.W.O. split into multiple smaller factions, as in-fighting became common within the group of large egos. Over time, the whole concept of The N.W.O. would be repeated, watered down and restructured. The fans would grow increasingly tired of seeing the same thing happen again and again. Fans began tuning out in droves. Eventually the whole thing floundered. What was once the hottest angle of all time, had become cliché. In the end, the only thing thay could stop the N.W.O., was the N.W.O. themselves...
I once heard of Edguy and for some reason I just remembered I HAD to listen to them, without remembering the reason. The second I heard Sammet's voice I remembered exactly why I felt compelled to listen to them.
