They're using RWD(Rear Wheel Drive) and the rear tires are made of foam polymer that's why their cars never get maximum speed in straight (most RC cars are fast) because always slips therefore make them drift in cornering then the front tires are made of Rubber Compund or Plastic for stabilize and make it directionally.

I guess you need enough power also to make it kick out and start drifting when you need it too but is day motor wise those cars are all stock
what types of cars are these? are they the HPI drift cars? If not what kind are good? I see some that seem to not look realistic (wheels to small for body, ect.)
