I just received an email today from Roblox… and as a creator I am done with their BS. Apparently they have added stuff to their policies and now i can no longer create. As of writing this comment, on the twelfth of this month I will be fully done with creating on Roblox items indefinitely. I am a 3d artist, I love animating, rendering and 3d modelling, as it’s a passion I have had for a long time. But this is the last straw. I wanted to try creating on Roblox and I only ever got to do one item as of now, and was planning the surprise release of another later this year. I didn’t like having to stick with strictly 2d items, but had no choice due to the “you must have a premium account for 3d items” rule, which I cannot afford. Now you need premium for 2d items, and I cannot and will not bend over for them just to do that. Enough’s enough. I am done.
SAME. The most insane thing to me is that before this update it costs 10 robux to upload a shirt indefinitely. Now with this update, you need a minimum of 10 dollars a month, $120 a year, to keep a 5 robux shirt on sale 😭 If anything the required price to upload should be raised instead of ruining creator's profits...

With one clip of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez starting to circle around on Bluesky (posted by fightforthefuture) who said "age verification is a smoke-screen for censorship" and even used the Discord data breach as a example, Which she ended it off by saying: "I do believe that we can both protect American safety, and protect kids. This package unfortunately does not do that, and we want to get to a place where we of course protect victims and ensure the privacy of every American is honoured as well" Now, this might be me being optimistic (which that's pretty much it) but...There's always a turning point... And this is the turning point.. It may be small, but it's happening.. So don't ever lose hope EDIT: there's one more committee due to the controversial stuff in these bills, then it goes to the house for final vote. So be as loud as you can, tell your friends, tell your family, and keep those calls coming in! Take care!

In this letter they explain how this age-verification trend is absolutely useless and only poses additional security risks that NO ONE wants to deal with (especially them since, well, its their job, and it's an extra load that could be easily avoided). And the only way to be 100% certain that your data does not get spilled all over the internet, is to NOT have it on the internet. So hopefully we see a turn of tides in this stupidity

Not to even mention, the data leaks and many private information can hurt a child identity as they grow up. Which a parent doesn't want to deal with especially when hackers can just take their information way easily now.
KOSA is a client side scanning bill. It's a bill designed to coerce companies making them feel compelled to scan data on our phones, tablets, and computers and other devices. Violating our 4th amendment right by using companies to do it for them. Encryption pisses them off and they been looking into a law to bypass encryption. A law passed like that which makes companies feel compelled to do such things should be illegal. Also the reason they want section 230 Repealed. Google, apple, Microsoft all have the groundwork laid out to monitor our devices 24/7 for authorities. My advice, if you want any private data, learn how to use Linux and get a privacy based android. Don't install social media apps that scan our devices.

@Generality05 Age verification does not make a kid safer at all. It just makes it easier for predators to find their victims. Not to even mention, the data leaks and many private information can hurt a child identity as they grow up. Which a parent doesn't want to deal with especially when hackers can just take their information way easily now.

KOSA is a client side scanning bill. It's a bill designed to coerce companies making them feel compelled to scan data on our phones, tablets, and computers and other devices. Violating our 4th amendment right by using companies to do it for them. Encryption pisses them off and they been looking into a law to bypass encryption. A law passed like that which makes companies feel compelled to do such things should be illegal. Also the reason they want section 230 Repealed. Google, apple, Microsoft all have the groundwork laid out to monitor our devices 24/7 for authorities. My advice, if you want any private data, learn how to use Linux and get a privacy based android. Don't install social media apps that scan our devices.
