How do you German Loggers make any money? You have the coolest machines and do a beautiful job, but your production seems pretty low. Here in the NW USA, logging like you do each man has to produce about 20 tons of wood per day to be profitable. And that is with 30-40 year old skidders.
hey john, in the region iam come from near frankfurt, we have 60-65% European beech 1m3 of this wood weight about 1,2t and we logging with a 6 Wheeler from Ritter. 20tons a day is really bad with this machine. the most of the time we come up to 150m3 a day, sometimes more. But 100m3 must be to can pay bills and get some money in our pocket. And you will say we are not profitable? Pls Buddy i like the american logging style and the art of machines, but in germany we have machine they´r more productive than the most of your machines. sry 4 my bad english, but when i hear an american say in germany anyone isnt productive at work i could laugh all day long.
