He was shown mopping the floors while singing “Speedo” and emptying waste. And at the end he is followed around by some kids while he sings “Speedo “. I believe that he has since passed.
These guys are the true 1st "Boy Bands". There would've been no New Kids on the block, N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, Jackson 5, etc...if not for groups such as these.

If there was one thing that The Cadillacs had in common with The Monotones, Penguins, Flamingos, Silhouettes, was that many of them were One Hit Wonders. When Otis Williams got an Autograph from one of the guys a Girl asked one of them why he had a Pimple on his Face and he screamed "Cuz I Ain't Getting Enough Female Action!" A Personal Question but he said it in a much nastier way and the poor girl was so upset. Otis made a promise that if he ever became famous he'd never treat anyone like that especially a lady. Smart guy. Hard to believe overall it's 60 years for them, The Beach Boys, Beatles and Rolling Stones. In England & Australia they are still revered.

The group doing the cover on stage is called the Cadillicas, who is doing the Cadillacs song, Speedo. They do a great job in their own style, but of course, the original Cadillacs did not do the jumps and splits that this group does in the movie. I, along with many, consider the Cadillacs to be the godfathers of doo wop and rock and roll. It's sad that Earl and Bobby are gone. But they will never be forgotten.

I showed her some tapes of Jackie on Shindig, and he was smooth as ice.....but she also said he held back on TV compared to what he was like live and in concert. The censors and all. So I imagine tapes of the Cadillacs really doing their thing dont exist
