Goa is not a place - it's a state of mind. 27 years ago I visited this paradise, a place whose magic cannot be described in words. A few years before that, when I started listening to this music every one who understood something about it mentioned Goa. Back then, there was no psytrance and progressive trance and dark and forest trance, there was only goa trance.
To this day, the good tracks I really liked back then surpass the ones I like today. Maybe it's because of my age at the time, maybe because it was new, or maybe I don't have a logical explanation.
If I wasn't in Goa this channel probably wouldn't exist. So as a tribute to all of this, I made this mix for you all (and for me too).
All the tracks in it are also dedicated to Goa, with the word Goa (except for 1 - which is Anjuna in Goa) by artists that Goa probably did something to them as well.
It's not a Goa Trance set, and the tracks aren't Goa Trance, but you will hear elements of it from time to time.

Reminds me of infected mushroom but without the experimental influences, like the pure core of goa. I looked for exactly this, and got what i wanted. The way to this felt like goa itself, looking for something, getting in, going with it, realising it was ment to be. When you only hustle for moths, to finally just be for 2:17:54, and after it left with the profound realisation, you just been runnig from yourself.☮ Goa is not a place.

does anyone know why this type of music goes so well with psychedelic trips? I've been traveling with magic mushrooms and this kind of sound is the only one that seems to "guide" me into hyperspace.
Its a state if mind some people travel on hardcore i personally prefer on goa/psy Even without taking anything it makes you travel and think that's why i goes so good with other stuff ✌🏻peace and love 🫶🏻
The human heart rate is around 120 bpm. Goa trance sits around 130-140 bpm which is slightly higher than the heart rate. This gives a feeling of euphoria and rush as it's just slightly higher than your heart rate. Even acid house for that matter as it's around 130 bpm. Other genres of psy are a bit higher like dark psy, forest, hitech etc so it becomes intense quickly. Goa trance sits at the sweet spot 🙏
