After a decade on soundcloud I've come to discover that the "new" producers aren't really that "new" it's just that the aliases are new but the actual people making the music are experienced.
Despite Soundcloud's awful audio fidelity, its a great place to dump tracks that could never see an official release.
so stoked to be a part of this community. my prod has improved so much by just participating and hearing how creative everyone else is, including the mustachioed wonder himself. Thanks everyone and especially thanks Bishu

18:00 prime example of listening to your own stuff for too long, earfatique... it did indeed not need that synth, less is more in many cases, but gets compromised often by not taking breaks and listening back and forth for too long in one go

Hey just a heads up. “Mastering for Spotify” is sort of an old myth- You don’t want to leave everything at -14db lufs. It’s actually a better strategy to master everything as loud as the mix will let you, without sacrificing quality or dynamics. As long as you have a limiter with a ceiling at -0.2, 0.3 dbfs, it won’t really matter if Spotify turns down your tracks, as Your dynamic range and crest factor will be intact and as juicy/punchy as you had it

I'm like a hip hop guy, like new school but more alternative, some metal influenced like Kenny Mason type shet.
