Dammit, women! Don’t just report it to higher-ups who only care to cover asses. Report it to the police! At some point we need to put our health and safety ahead of anything else!
Andrea Gomez That’s exactly it. For all the shady men out there, there are just as many shady women. Honestly, the hundreds of gymnasts assaulted by their doctor....that’s hundreds of young women and parents who put their careers ahead of their health and safety. The victims were enabling the perpetrator just as much as anyone else. Same with the Harvey Weinstein mess. They participate as long as it’s getting them somewhere. Women need to look at their own accountability in these transactions. I am not condoning any of the horrific behaviors of these men...but women need to stand the f*ck up immediately when something isn’t right, for yourself and for the women who may unfortunately be next.Take the power back, don’t wait for or expect someone to do it for you.
Ronan’s new book is riveting, I bought it a week ago and was finished in 5 days...this Ronan Farrow is brilliant, believable, hardworking! and deserves much acclaim and awards for his astute information gathered against the likes of Matt Lauer, Harvey Weinstein and others....all while NBC attempted to keep this news from coming forward. Thank you, Ronan Farrow.
Other than the case that you're referencing, Whoopi, please list others. The fact is, you're greatly overstating this. Women (and children) are usually telling the truth about being sexually assaulted. It's so disappointing how often you take the wrong side or wrong point in a very important issue like this. Additionally, Meredith Vieirra knows them both, and she helped Brooke N. come forward to report the allegations. Seriously, you think she would have done that if she didn't feel the allegations were credible? That it was some sort of ploy? Please. (Again, she knows them both well.) I believe her. I believe her. I believe her. Without hesitation.
Some of you guys took that the wrong way. When she said that it was a figure of speech, she didnt mean it littierly. After listening to the rest of what she had to say, she actually meant it as if, "that's a whole other story".
What has surprised me most about men being inappropriate is when any woman speaks up about these moments starting with touchy-feely high school teachers (math & drama, for me in the mid 70s) that did it in the open, girls talking about how gross it made them feel, boys aware of it and FINDING IT FUNNY, and the absolute worse was when I spoke firmly, loudly, and bravely to take his hands off me one day, I spent many weeks sitting in the hallway, reading the math text book and teaching Algebra 1 to myself. Not one girl spoke up and said 'me too' because they saw how I got in trouble. I wonder if there were boys who could/would have been brave and support me if that happened today? I never went to the principal or told my mom because I was afraid of getting in more trouble. I have stories like that from high school, to part-time jobs at fast food joints, and on through to my mid-20s. So, I never spoke up again. I learned to sometime finding solutions that didn't require me to say the real reason for quitting because I began to believe that, THAT kind of behavior was just part of being a girl and young woman. Speaking out against the pervy male teachers and co-workers or owners of the fast food places only got you into trouble, or not having friends to back me up. My take away all these years later is that girls and women need to support and speak up honestly to make it crystal clear that sexist, grabby, men need to knock it off! Call the police to report a crime and stand up proud that you helped other victims, and you're sharing a warning to boys and girls that they have support systems and caring professionals to help you .
Why aren’t these people charged and jailed? People feel being guilty in the court of public opinion no get them on the stand and hand them out a sentence. A real sentence not some pity sentence of two months and a slap on the wrist.
I have been a faithful British RUclips watcher of The View. I flipping love it. The Ladies Who Punch was a guilty pleasure read. Sonny is a brilliant addition to The View, and I am guessing the producers are recognising her sassy smartness. She interacts well with her fellow panalists too.
The book will be out in a few days..... more details to come. In the interview I saw this morning I was a bit skeptical since she did have sex with him later several more times. In any event, I believe this belongs in a courtroom, not a book contract.
That's a good attitude to it I think. When allegations escalate in seriousness by an order of magnitude that's even more reason to investigate in an official capacity. Sunny's stats say false accusations are around 8 percent meaning over one in Twenty allegations among us non celebs is subject to false accusations if we get accused and this logically would be far higher amongst people where there is the possibility of settling for millions of dollars , Sunny's arguments in this arena should apply to civilians where scammers have no reason to accuse average Joe unless it's a personal vendetta I hope the view eventually covers or does and update on Johnny Depp and Amber Heard as she is sounding like the ex I got a restraining order on who repeatedly assaulted me knowing I'd never strike her and who had stolen and hidden my passports and everything necessary to access funds or leave when I was in her home country. She had my work wages into her account and when I convinced my manager to do a one time favour of a paper cheque the Ex then got a friend of hers at my workplace to leak information on clients which she then reported back to management as ME breaking confidentiality .. I got suspended until I proved this and was super vindicated later when she came to my work refusing to leave until she got to speak to me the. Attacked me in full view of most staff with me not laying a finger as she bruised up my face and literally ripped my shirt clean off my chest incurring fingernail blood tracks down my chest and then getting escorted off the property by the four unit managers (mental health wards) literally carrying her off the property and phoning the police..
And don't forget, amongst the reasons that people don't report it is that you are made to feel like are to blame. Even women are the victims it is not uncommon to have women say it is your fault... you've heard it said before, "Why would you be in a man's dressing room at late hours alone? You knew what was going to happen..."
Woman who make fake allegations should be punished with the same amount of time that the alleged perpetrators would have gotten. There needs to be a deterrent for false accusations.

Man... looks like Whoopi's losing her touch...
Matt Lauer was always a condescending creep. I’m no Anne Hathaway fan but the way he spoke to her that time was disgusting
Sigh... These conversations would be so much more productive if Whoopi just sat quiet and didn't say anything... Ever.
They'd be more productive of Joy and Sunny were replaced with Star Jones and Lisa Ling.
This segment went off the rails.
I just have to say that Sunny looks gorgeous with her hair up/her makeup like that. 👌👌
Yeah no protection for both men and women victims of sexual violence.
Caleb Harper you hate this show ... why are you here again?
@@rewer I don't hate show. Although I think The Five is just a little better.
Is it me or did everybody besides Sunny miss the point here ..?
It's 2019 and Whoopi is confusingly saying, "Let's not talk about protections..." 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Some of you guys took that the wrong way. When she said that it was a figure of speech, she didnt mean it littierly. After listening to the rest of what she had to say, she actually meant it as if, "that's a whole other story".
For once I completely agree with Meghan. Matt was awful in his treatment of Anne Curry
Sometimes Whoopi just rambles and it makes little to no sense...
Why does Abby keep talking about the Media when she is the Media🤔 Many things the View call others out for they do the same thing😒
What was the point in Whoopi making that point?
Why does Abby always sound as though she's going to blast off of her chair at any moment?! So annoying.
Shelley Bee Yessssss!!!!!!!
Sunny has way too much respect for Whoopie
"Hearts breaking for our colleague" is not about Matt Lauer, it's for the woman.
Whoopie say it louder for the people in the back! dont cheat duh
Whoopi's appearance is upsetting me.
Oh the pain of listening to Abby chatter on with all her piousness
I'm not sure what anyone's question was, and I don't think anyone else answered it.
Whoopie's not making sense at all. Seems like she is trying to explain it away.
Ridiculed, vilified, shamed, ostracized...we face so much to come forward. I just weep over this conversation. I weep
Waiting on "Surviving Matt Lauer "
This is so crazy still goes on both sides victim and accused.
Whoopi is insufferable. It’s time to go.
Sunny's stats say false accusations are around 8 percent meaning over one in Twenty allegations among us non celebs is subject to false accusations if we get accused and this logically would be far higher amongst people where there is the possibility of settling for millions of dollars , Sunny's arguments in this arena should apply to civilians where scammers have no reason to accuse average Joe unless it's a personal vendetta
I hope the view eventually covers or does and update on Johnny Depp and Amber Heard as she is sounding like the ex I got a restraining order on who repeatedly assaulted me knowing I'd never strike her and who had stolen and hidden my passports and everything necessary to access funds or leave when I was in her home country.
Related question, what happened to Leslie Moonves?
FYI! Meghan was ONLY a regular co-host on Fox News under a year! She make it sounds like it was a decade *lol*
What the heck was Whoopi’s point?
And don't forget, amongst the reasons that people don't report it is that you are made to feel like are to blame. Even women are the victims it is not uncommon to have women say it is your fault... you've heard it said before, "Why would you be in a man's dressing room at late hours alone? You knew what was going to happen..."
Why does Abby always have a point where she sides with the accused or their families? Smh.
Dare I say Whoopi enfuriates me more than Meghan
Woman who make fake allegations should be punished with the same amount of time that the alleged perpetrators would have gotten. There needs to be a deterrent for false accusations.
I need y’all to have all the facts!
I feel like the phrase "categorically false" means guilty lol. That's just what it sounds like. Not saying it isn't false. That's just how it sounds to me
