I've been on the A49 many a time, usually going from Manchester, where I live, down to around Bristol. Anyway, yesterday I took myself off for a day out to Southport, and thought I'd nip into see my step-son who lives just south of Preston, and hey presto, was on the A49. Always thought, A49 ended at Warrington. You learn something everyday🤣
Best of luck, Didn't do a theory test, nor a class 2, but in January 2021 it will be 29 years since I passed my artic test. In the last 29 years there have been many times I wish I'd never been near a truck, but overall its been good and the job. Good to see a few youngsters getting into the industry, time to take the strain from us old-uns. 😀
@@medler2110 you older experienced drivers need to pass on your knowledge to the newer drivers coming along, everyone has bad days whatever they do for a career
@@elizabethmaybrown6715 Always been willing to help less experienced drivers, also still willing to learn from others. Having worked in many jobs before and since getting my HGV licence, I'm also well aware all jobs have bad days, I was being honest about my experience of working in the road transport industry. This doesn't mean I don't think people should go for an HGV licence, as I said overall its been a good, thing, but they should go in with their eyes open.
You're lucky lol few months ago, I had to drive an old Mercedes 814 7.5t horsebox on a H plate from Bedlington in Northumberland to Leighton Buzzard. No seat belts or speed limiter installed. Cab tilt light kept coming up on the dash which prevented me from turning the steering wheel more than a quarter turn while driving. The steering worked fine when it was parked or on straight roads. But on roundabouts, it was scary. I managed to get 50 yards south of j15a on the M1 Northampton Services when I then got a blow out in the nearside front wheel at 65 mph and no hard shoulder.
Great video as always Scott, hope you had a good Christmas, have a good New Years Eve and already looking forward to travelling with you in 2022, keep up the good work and keep safe! 🎅🏼😀
Thanks for posting Mr Andrews. When you load pallets on tautliner, do you strap the pallets in? I drove for 14 years and never ever used a ratchet strap…we didn”t have any, though I used internals if they were there. That was a few years ago when lorries had 3 pedals and a gearstick. Happy New Year!
Thank you Scott. Again another great video Enjoyed it and always interesting and funny in places as Always just great. Thanks again. Wishing you the very best for 2022 and Hopefully more great videos So Take care and Stay safe and safe Trucking.

All the best Scott, been watching ‘The Legends’ for a while now, highlight of my week 😂😂 I’m out on my first Class 1 trip having passed just before Xmas, Lincoln to Felixstowe to Uxbridge and reverse, massive learning curve for a first trip out having had to negotiate the docks and get to grips with containers etc, but I’ve taken loads of the tips I’ve picked up from you guys on board, and hope to be hauling Special Cargo in the not too distant future... Happy New Year to you all 🚛🚛

Hi Scott matey 👍 did you have a great Christmas and have a great new year aswell for 2022. Enjoyed your RUclips video 👍👍👍 thanks from mark 👍 from the Wirral Merseyside UK
Yes it was a nice little village and like all nice little villages they'll be complaining about the lorries! Happy New Year to you and your family Scott.
I met Scott at Devon Truck Show and he's the same height as me, 5'10" and there are a lot of lady class one drivers now so Scott is definitely old enough and tall enough
@@gary63693 I know you are, just saying that Scott is not as small as he may seem to you on the screen, that MAN is high! It makes Luke C in an hgv look shorter than 6' 2" !
I live in Hereford and most of the people here say we need a bypass but the council plus whoever is mp for Hereford keep putting it off. They did a traffic study last year when everyone was in lockdown and said the traffic was free flowing and didn't see the need for the bypass but as soon as the country started getting back to normal they are nowhere to be seen. Sometimes if you are on the a465 coming from abergavenny direction it can take upto 45 minutes to travel from Tesco's Belmont to the new bridge about 2 miles I love my home town but we need the bypass.
Hi Scott, you were starting to sound like Jonesey in Dad's Army with your "Don't Panic" 😂😂 have John Deere got a factory in this country now or are they importing them? Not a tractor that I have driven very often, hope you have a good New Year's Eve, stay safe
