two other things that help with extending the life of flowers is an asprin tablet in the water, as well as a drop of dish soap :) from what I've read described is that the asprin calms the reactiveness of cutting the plant, and the dish soap inhibits the growth of bacteria in the water.
If you use Regular Sprite for live flowers. I cut my live stems at angle under at my kitchen sink. Put one part water to one part regular Sprite. There is sugar in the Sprite and the citrus and carbonate keeps the stems fresh and can absorb water water/sprite and keep them fresh longer. My husband used to send me a bouquet of roses at work “just because” and on certain personal occasions (birthday, anniversary, Valentines Day). My dozen of roses would last over a month doing this method.
Trader Joe's has the best, longest lasting flowers! I worked in a flower shop and I have never found better flowers than the ones at TJ's. I love your paint brush cleaning tip...looks like I'll have to make a trip to Dollar Tree.
I used to buy post cards or calendars as souvenirs for an inexpensive way to frame professional photos. Sometimes we would take a favorite calendar page to Michael's for a special mat and frame.
Another great video!! Are you familiar with the cooking/baking sheet game for kiddos in the car?? Basically magnet play…letters or story telling if you apply magnets… or you could make a small felt board ie spelling his name dinosaurs names etc…. Hopefully you enjoy st. Paddy’s day! One of my favorite meals and picture days…
We were taught to also cut on a angle But under running normal temp water & change the old water every 3 -5 days you'll be able to tell & again trim the same way as above. Removing low leaves & keep them out of the water
Great ideas. Another way to have a trash can in the car is to use a plastic cereal container. I put a target bag inside then put the lid on and use the opening you pour the cereal out of to pop trash in. You close it and trash won't go everywhere.
I love using the mesh bags for a variety of stuffs. I have them in my car and I have them in my closet linked together for my intimates I also think the pool noodles are a great hack wish I knew about that hack when my kids were little 30 yrs ago lol back then we used rolled towels lol. The micro fiber on the cricut is great!! The foil for the blade is something I have been using for a while ❤
I have those little travel Caddies for my kids for road trips. They are so great. I also use the Jot clear stationary container with all the little compartments that you can get at Dollartree and put snacks in them for my kids. I used my cricut and some permanent vinyl to put their names on and then they have control of their snacks for the trip. It's nice the center compartment fits a granola bar and the smaller ones I do gold fish crackers, mini oreos, mini ritz, raisins, m&Ms, mini chips ahoy and other small treats. Thanks for another great video!!
Great tip creating a bag for our car! I keep listerine, a hair band, a toothbrush, dental floss, etc. in my purse!LOL I have used sugar for my flowers for years! They definitely last longer.😊 I use those storage containers for my jewelry for traveling, too! It works so well!!! I love your tissue paper idea...that looks great! I twist the bottom of the tissue paper one at a time!🤣 That's so much easier & looks amazing! Thank you, Whitney!❤️ I use those same clips for my towels for my beach chair, too! As always, Whitney, thank you for sharing all of your hacks with us! Stay safe, healthy, and positive! God bless you and your family!🙏❤️🇺🇸😊
I love Magic Erasers for so many things. They're great at getting grease off of things. I bought a bunch of Hot Wheels there recently to give to my nephew as part of his birthday gift.
hi, another quick game for little people is to reuse a deli container and some poker chips from Walmart. slice the container and then put the chips in the array of openings. great for IE: fine motor skills. Learning numbers, letters etc same concept as feeding cookie monster etc. you could decorate the container with dinosaurs etc. hugs from Florida..
@Whiskeyandwhit We are having a huge snow storm. We just got power back. We had a hurricane in January, " Fiona ", so we are calling this, " White Fiona ". Lol stay safe my friend.xo
Wonderful! I've been super happy with mine - they're my longest running partner (outside of Cricut) because I believe in their products. I'm so glad you love them!
I have resisted buying the dressing containers because I have the hard plastic bottles. But I DIDN'T know they were so easy to wash, so I'll definitely be picking some up now! Lots of great tips here, thanks!
Great hacks. I saw someone use those little caddies and they used them for happy meal holder for little kids. They put the fries in one compartment, the burger in another and the drink in another. Where was that when my kids were little?
I love your videos ! I actually shared the same DT card and frame decor hack today from my own page on Facebook I made several for Saint Patrick’s day and love how they turned out for a dollar seventy five!
We take our shades outside & hose them down or in the shower. I like to use straws for thin necklaces & bracelets cut them short enough to still be able to hook them closed keep them from tangling. Paint different color nail polish on the flat part of your keys to help identify each key. I loved your popsicle stick ideas the only thing I'd add would be one for naps lol. Wow now I know where to vacation ya'll have fun St.P parties and fun day trips. Tks for sharing I love learning fun tips & tricks like that & appreciate reading others tips you have amazing smart friends here.
Finally found a dollar tree plus store in willow room off rte 83. I looked at all the stores near me in Western suburbs and finally found one. Thought for sure Chicago would have stores but none by the ones I went to 😞
How about adding Movie Night Indoor Picnic/ Outdoor picnic Board Games Floor games- Twister Blindfold portrait: have a nice size paper/ card stock,pen/pencil or marker, blindfold(anything will do make sure you cannot see through it) put on blindfold grab your drawing material in hand and try to draw yourself without looking 😂 when finished remove your blindfold and see how your self portrait turned out. Have fun 🙌🙌
Omg, I love your sweater! Can you share where it’s from? 😍 And another paint brush hack: if you forget to wash your brushes and they get crusty, soak in Murphy’s Oil soap, cleans and refreshes your paint brushes
Love your DIYs and you are so generous sharing printables. I'm 68 and so technologically behind. I wanted to print a few of your printables from your buy this not that spring printables. They are so beautiful. I love how you honor the Lord. However, they are all 11 X 14 and all my frames are 8 x 10. Is there a way to resize them? In a simple old lady way I can do? Thanks. To feel better, it is cold this weekend here in Florida too. It had been in high 80's and now nights are in mid 30's! Shocking.
Hello on my hubbys account -we love Brookfield zoo , we’re from md but drove up to the area many times for my husbands work - he keeps saying we gotta go back soon 😃
I use the salad dressing holders for my dog's pills. She takes them three times a day. Sometimes, we are at the park for her afternoon pills, so it is easy to put it in my pocket to take it along. I also use them for salad dressing since I use fat-free & some restaurants don't carry them, so I take my own.
I hate the daily dinner dilemma! I write dinner ideas on little paper pieces fold them up and then pick one out of a baggie. I like the craft stick and jar idea instead its super cute!!

I work in a flower shop the best thing that we used is SPRITE and warm water and change it every 6 or 7 day and remove the old leaves, great hacks 👍🏻
Great tip! I'll add that to my list!!
Thanks 👍
How much sprite to water? 50/50 mix etc.?
@@samiolson9538 one can of sprite and the rest water depending on how big is the arrangement
I have used Sprite before and it works great.

OMG! I had never thought about using vinyl on gift bags, GENIUS!
Yay! I really needed a “congrats on the promotion” bag a few years ago and couldn’t find anything, so I decided to make my own :)
