I live in an apartment complex and the leasing office said they filed for eviction but I could do a one time buyout to stay in my apartment. I had to pay 2 months rent plus an extra month upfront plus the legal fees that they said I have to pay for their attorney fees for filing eviction on me. I've never heard of this and I asked them before I paid if they could give me a written statement saying that they in fact filed for eviction because I never saw any proof that they filed.
I currently am in a buyout/relocation negotiations. We agree on an amount and they will put money in escrow and pay half on the 31 and the other half when I give the key. Will I be able to get the balance of the money from escrow payment after paying for all of moving costs or will the money stay in escrow paying for rent at my new place? Nothing has been signed, but wanted to know how the escrow payment works. Thank you!
It has to be the owner moving in or his kids and wife. No other family is allowed. Relocation fee has to type of tenants. qualified tenants, are tenants that are 63 years or older or disable. The other type of tenant is eligible tenant. Low income etc.... relocation fees depends on the time or years they have lived at the property.

what counts as substantial rehab as a re-location reason? Is it construction or can a small re-model be grounds for relocation?
