- This video gives a Detailed process of how documents are legalized or certified by the ministry of foreign affairs in Kenya.
Authentication of documents in Kenya is done by the Legal and Host Country Affairs Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Relevant issuing authorities certify documents prior to authentication.
The nature of the documents informs the process of certification by the issuing authority.

This is to clarify that currently all certification is done online, you certify your knec certs through the Knec portal, your Degree through your uni or college then take then upload them to the Foreign Affairs portal after that take it to the embassy

Hello ..you take all your original and copies of education certificates from primary to university level,to the ministry of education...that's the certifying body.it takes 1- 2 days there,then take the certified copies to the ministry of foreign affairs for authentication...that's basically the process.

@@vostiii111 MOE is free. You just take your original documents and copies there, and pick them the following day at 2pm. If you need to use them for consulates that ask for certified original copies at the back(like Austria), you write a letter requesting and authorizing the MOE to sign and stamp the originals at the back. For MFA, it's 200KES for each
