After reading all of these comments I think there are two groups of viewers here. One group is the younger set that expected Tommie to be like the girls on RuPaul's Drag Race or their local club. The second group, of which I am a member, is over 50 and remember all of the titles Tommie has amassed in her career including Miss Gay America ! We are the survivors of the age of A.I.D.S. where our friends and loved ones died off in droves leaving us devastated . We fought for our rights to live our lives as we chose. Tommie is a part of this era and we are happy to see her still out there participating in life and reminding us that we too can,will and do go on. She is a Drag Legend and no one can take that from her.

This is one of the most iconic things I have EVER EVER seen. Found Tommie by watching their performance of “Lucy in the Sky” for Miss Gay America. I WISH there was a version where I could see it better. But thankfully iI could see all the facial expressions and nuances as Tommie just broke THROUGH. Seriously. Tommie is an ARTIST. One can only strive to THIS level of perfection. I saw Diana a few months ago. Trust and believe she did not walk out on the stage and stand there, and she is 75 years old. She performed for 1.5 HOURS nonstop.....singing, dancing and very fast costume changes!! Then, of course, there was the encore!

Tommie Ross is at a standard where only a select few can really critique her performing capabilities and even fewer I think would dare to tell her their thoughts to her face. I think what everyone in this comment section probably needs to realise is that she is not performing for us (as in those of us who get to watch this free on RUclips). She is performing for the audience members tipping her - who actually paid to attend Miss Continental in person. We are just watching a recording of her performing to them really, and so if an audience of people were to judge, it should be those who were in attendance and clearly they decided to tip her generously. I would assume that because of the amount of people getting up from their seats at the venue to tip her there really isn't much of her to actually perform and live the song to the fullest! She is an icon and has done it all! I personally would ask somebody to put a bucket infront of the stage where they can put the money and at the same time i would just concentrate on the song and give everybody the show of their lifetime.

LOL. Take it easy. These appearances by former queens are filler for the pageant. People pay to see the pageant contest not these performances. Former queens are there so that people can show their respect and help them pay for the travel and hotel expenses for showing up as former queens. No one paid to specifically see Tommie Ross.
