When I was 12 my mom had a friend that had a car just like that one . Same color and everything. He would let me drive on the back roads all day. Man I loved that car
We used to take these 260 Cutlasses and drill out the main jets a smidge for more fuel, bump up the base timing a bit from stock and eliminate the delay valve that was put in for emissions so that your timing advance came in sooner and it woke these up noticeably and made for a much happier customer. These were great cars all around but the 200 Metric trans was best avoided!
My friend had a black/silver version of this car. Bought it from a guy who ordered it as close to 442 or H/O as he could get. Grill was the blacked out rectangular grid style. 305, 4bbl, auto, buckets, center column, Olds Rally rims, and he installed true dual exhaust. It was a nice car. One cruisin' weekend we put my Cragar SS rims and white lettered tires on his Cutlass. We should have taken pics. It was sharp!
That's a sweet ride. I have 79 Supreme, almost the same color. Same interoir but leather. Not original engine, swapped mild tuned chevy 305 and th700. Great cruiser.
Nice cutlass it brings me back, my first car different color silver gray with burgundy vinyl and red interior. Paid $850.00 bought it from a friend that was in 1990 that was the good old days
I had one with that color combination from when I was age 18 through age 20. Omg, you just took me back in time when you drove it out of the parking lot. My car drove so smooth! Mine had bucket vinyl seats which I preferred over cloth. But those seats definitely look comfortable. I remember mine came with quadraphonic sound which really used to blow my mind when I played What Is and What Should Never Be, by Led Zeppelin the way the sound jumped around the car. In fact, it was very difficult to get me out of that car when it was time to go home and go to sleep. Yes, yes, good times.
Dang I had this car back in the 80's. Well built but too easy to steal unfortunately. 😔. Loved my Cutlass Supreme. Only difference mine had the center console and white letter tires.
I had one back in the day. Mine was solid white exterior and solid black interior leather bucket seats with automatic console gear shifting. Same engine as that one too. Had true dual glass pack exhaust that sounded great. I sure do miss it.
Brings back some memories! I had one almost exact, lighter color. I bought from a friend of mine that was a mechanic and he rebuilt the engine with a little high energy cam. It wasn't a race car but it had a little rumble to it! Another one I should never have sold!! That & my 71 Chevelle!! Let's go back to those better days!! Well, you were just a twinkle in your daddy's eye's 😍 then though! ✌😂💨
Amazing clean Gbody Cutty even half vinyl top in excellent shape & luv peanut butter original interior think 80s Cutlass rarely come by ur dealership Nick still 68 over tan/gold 78.
I had one identical to this in early 90's same color 230,000 on the 260 lol dropped in 350 rocket and turbo 350 and was great!! 260 good cruiser engine
Hey now you really talking, yessir but i also agree with the comment above yours as well all would be a good fit for this car 301,305,307 and the monster 350.
These body styles are so sweet! I had a 1980 light blue Cutlass Supreme Brougham with a white vinyl top and dual headlights. Hit me up if anyone knows how I can get one!
I owned a brand new 1980 Olds Cutlass Supreme with the V6. Paid 6k for it new. Very dependable car. Sold it with 70,000 miles on it, all highway miles on it. Still had the original brakes when I sold it. Always 2,000 mile oil, filter changes, Transmission oil, filter change twice. Tune ups. Washed and waxed frequently. Classic cars are cool 😎 but I like a modern car today with all the technology built in. 👍🤗😎
Gorgeous lil Cutlass. Had a black 79 Calais with tan interior and roof. The 260 is a gutless dog, but very reliable and fuel efficient. I hope it gets a great new owner.
I had a '78 as my second car. It was tan color with brougham package. It got around 25 mpg with that 260 engine. BTW ,that engine ran so smooth and quiet that it didn't even feel like it was running. Wished I'd kept it now.
My wife purchased a new 1983 Cutlass with the v-6 engine. Complete dog in performance, however one of the most comfortable, quiet and sweet riding car I’ve ever ridden in. The v-8 version was tolerable. I’d have one today if I could.
A buddy of mine had this exact car. Same engine and everything. In 1980, he paid a shop $300 bucks to install a sunroof. Otherwise, it was identical. Nice.
Y'all always have some nice cars. I've always loved the rear sloped olds cutlass (2 and 4 doors). Keep up the good work and bringing us the good content.
My 98 yr old neighbor has one I Think its a 1985...It Is in Showroom Condition and very low Miles..He Drives it Every Sunday For 5 miles then puts it back in the garage
First car I bout for myself…. 1980 limited edition cutlass supreme. Black on black, cutlass rallys, bucket seats(leather interior), stick in the floor. It was all original until you popped the hood. The guy I bought it from put that 409 from a 79 trans am in it!!!!!!
No way!! ...I really do love this channel and i even want to one day buy one of these rides. But i seriously can not believe that this vehicle sold for this price!!
Back in the day when I had the choice between a chevette and the twin to this cutlass for my first car, I chose the chevette. What was I thinking always regretted that decision
Wow step in to the lounge, luxiry car No 1 inside absolut gourgeus, it looks like the plymouth volare 1977 i had back in 1978, it is riding on cloud No 9, thanks Nick stay cool 😎 😎
My mother had one when I was just 13yrs old and one day she pulled over and asked if I wanted my first driving lesson which I of course did and even though I never drove before I did so well and I believe that was because these cars float like air and easy to manage. I still miss that car and just seeing this makes me want one really bad.. Thanks for sharing as always Nick and I hope all is well with you and yours. 🙏🍻
I had one exactly like this on the outside. Mine was a Cutlass Calais, same year. It was stolen in the Bronx, New York, on Dec 1982. It was reported to the police and they didn’t bother looking for it. So if anyone here knows about one that is for sale in the same color scheme please let me know. Thank you.
Everything was gutless in the mid to late 70’s. Even corvettes and trans ams barely put out 200hp. Nice part about it is it was easy to slide a nicely massaged V8. My nephew had a 79 Regal and he slid an early 70’s Buick 350 in it which turned it into a rocket.
Someone got a great deal on a true Gran'ma grocery getter. I'd be willing to bet that 62k is original miles, she's just to clean top to bottom to be otherwise. Real nice car for the price Nick...✓
I respect u Nick !! Even if I don't always think a car is all this or that !! It is just my.opinion , and also I kinda have an idea of what your probably paying for such said car at any time ❗💯% Respect Only ✌and 👍👍👆🖐
Nice Cutlass. Grandma probably only drove it to church. Always liked that generation.
When I was 12 my mom had a friend that had a car just like that one . Same color and everything. He would let me drive on the back roads all day. Man I loved that car
That's a sweet Olds Cutlass. Careful Nick, that back seat is made for baby making!
Lol
Thanks for the tip!
I know thats right .....been there and done that except mine was console bucket seat and factory tach ....i miss that ride
We used to take these 260 Cutlasses and drill out the main jets a smidge for more fuel, bump up the base timing a bit from stock and eliminate the delay valve that was put in for emissions so that your timing advance came in sooner and it woke these up noticeably and made for a much happier customer. Dude, that car is in tremendous shape. If I could see to drive, I would buy that from me right now. That would make a good daily driver
Nice survivor. Helped another grad student rebuild the 305 on a 79 Cutlass after he came to the US from Eastern Europe. Great memories. Thanks Nick.
That's a sweet ride. I have 79 Supreme, almost the same color. Same interoir but leather. Not original engine, swapped mild tuned chevy 305 and th700. Great cruiser.
Got one in the shed red white seats moon roof 260 v8 bought new off show room floor still looks great drives nice
Nice cutlass it brings me back, my first car different color silver gray with burgundy vinyl and red interior.
Paid $850.00 bought it from a friend that was in 1990 that was the good old days
Underside was a bit oily and when you revel it the mother blew lots of black smoke 12k is very high

That was the very first car me and my girlfriend bought back in 1989. ♥
That Cutlass has been very well cared for if it's still there by Thursday or Friday it'll surprise me!
Beautiful Olds, only wish it had a 301 or 350 instead of the 260. Other than that it's a beauty, no wonder it sold fast.

I have two. One like that in black and one tan.
Amazing clean Gbody Cutty even half vinyl top in excellent shape & luv peanut butter original interior think 80s Cutlass rarely come by ur dealership Nick still 68 over tan/gold 78.
That's a good looking Cutlass! Love the color combo too. I would probably fall asleep driving that car, it looks so comfy. 😴
Those were great when swapped with a 350.
I had one identical to this in early 90's same color 230,000 on the 260 lol dropped in 350 rocket and turbo 350 and was great!! 260 good cruiser engine

Had new in 1978 and 1981. Both out standing automobiles. What a fantastic channel.
These body styles are so sweet! I had a 1980 light blue Cutlass Supreme Brougham with a white vinyl top and dual headlights. Hit me up if anyone knows how I can get one!

Yeah but they dont make cars as good lookin and strong as theses cars tho and they just bring so much nostalgia.
Gorgeous lil Cutlass. Had a black 79 Calais with tan interior and roof. The 260 is a gutless dog, but very reliable and fuel efficient. I hope it gets a great new owner.

Yeah, nice driving cars.
I tip my hat to you nick beautiful Olds
had nice one like that way back for 2k 🇺🇸
A buddy of mine had this exact car. Same engine and everything. In 1980, he paid a shop $300 bucks to install a sunroof. Otherwise, it was identical. Nice.
I have my 1985 cutlass supreme proud of my car
That cutlass looks brand new!! I'd say cosmetics is near mint
Good Afternoon My Good Little Bro Nick Southgate Of Maple Motors
This reminds me of every 70's cop film ever made. Lol
Y'all always have some nice cars. I've always loved the rear sloped olds cutlass (2 and 4 doors). Keep up the good work and bringing us the good content.
A TRUE jewel. Someone's Grandparents' car.
Those olds 260 v8 ran good but your right it's no racecar. It's beautiful though love to see one stock.
The G body market is white hot out here in California, buy em up if you see em!
My 98 yr old neighbor has one I Think its a 1985...It Is in Showroom Condition and very low Miles..He Drives it Every Sunday For 5 miles then puts it back in the garage
That is one nice Oldsmopile L.O.L. thats what we called them at Auto Zone. I would definitely buy it if I had the money.
what L.O.L.?
We had one took the 260 out n put a 403 in it it beat Montes with 350s
First car I bout for myself…. 1980 limited edition cutlass supreme. Black on black, cutlass rallys, bucket seats(leather interior), stick in the floor. It was all original until you popped the hood. The guy I bought it from put that 409 from a 79 trans am in it!!!!!!
Grandma had style😎✌🏻
I can't believe the rear bumper is straight. Let alone not rusted off.
That was my father's Oldsmobile !
That thing is cool. I'd definitely buy that.
Love the car wouldn't even remove the Jesus bumper sticker.
Nope leave it lol
No way!! ...I really do love this channel and i even want to one day buy one of these rides. But i seriously can not believe that this vehicle sold for this price!!
I've got friends that sell these completely repainted, hydors, crate engines for this price. Those just arent my cup of tea any more
This was the brougham model. Wire wheels and whitewalls I'd find for it and take off the leather steering wrap. Very very nice car.
Wow. Everything works!!!! Nice car. !!!!! Clean and smooth!!!!
I’ve got the same exact one, saddle brown is the name of the paint, with buckskin vinyl top I think it’s called…
Back in the day when I had the choice between a chevette and the twin to this cutlass for my first car, I chose the chevette. What was I thinking always regretted that decision
OMG, My Parents had One. 18 and drove it, loved that car!!!! 15 miles to the gallon. lol 260 WAS AWFUL MOTOR,.
This horn was an easy guess today. :)
Beautiful lines and color combinations.
At least it's when the seats were comfortable, not like some of the newer vehicles.. you need to buy that for your personal
That's a baby doll there. I'd have a hard time letting that one go out of fear that someone would butcher it up trying to turn it into a hot rod
My first car in high school was a 78 Cutlass triple black
Wow step in to the lounge, luxiry car No 1 inside absolut gourgeus, it looks like the plymouth volare 1977 i had back in 1978, it is riding on cloud No 9, thanks Nick stay cool 😎 😎
I have one similar to yours! I'm working on mine when the parts are affordable. 😄
My toy car hauler when I was a kid had 2 plastic models of this car or very similar around the mid 80s! Very cool! Very cool taillights!
That car would definitely make a really nice lowrider. You won't have that car very long.
no stop destryoing these cars
I had one the exact same color but mine was a 79. Man I miss that car
This is another popular car in the lowrider culture nice body lines
I’d purchase THIS ONE ! Too bad i caught it after it was sold !
Thank you.
I had one too a 79 in NYC those Jokers stole that car Three times in the early 90s
Sad part about these cars is people made hot rods out of them. That's why you don't see very many of them anymore😞
This car is cherry 🍒 they don't make them like that anymore 👍 Nick very nice ride.
She needs a good repaint but a clean cutlass for sure
esta Bonito ese carro cuanto eslomenos
I think this year was the special edition better known as the Gutless .. my grandmother had one of these I think it put out like 105 horsepower 😳🙊
I had a 79 the smallest V8 4.3 260 hp unless you had the 442
Someone got a great deal on a true Gran'ma grocery getter. I'd be willing to bet that 62k is original miles, she's just to clean top to bottom to be otherwise. Real nice car for the price Nick...✓
The price so cheap perfect 🎶

Dated my husband in that car! Memories!
Nice cutlass but me thinks you have a major oil leak, holy moly the underneath of that car was soaked
That has to be a estate car someone probably had it and kept it garaged in amazing condition and passed away
The BEST
