Ravens/Lions breakdowns gonna be fun this week...your vids change how I watch games now! Keep it up...Lions fans here for it, and we a knowledgeable fan base
Lions fan. Buccs defense is very good. They have players at every level, size, speed and they play well together. Lions played the entire game without both starting guards. I think LaPorta had 1 drop and 2 or 3 targets that were innacurate passes. David made probably 3 more excellent defensive plays. So if LaPorta caught 4, dropped 1, David made 3 good defensive plays and there were 3 miscommunication/bad throws that covers it. LaPorta has been and will continue to be an absolute steal for the Lions.
@@davidmcpherson1347 4 catches, 36 yards, long of 19. He was erased besides 1 big catch. Hutch got that work too. But Lions as a whole played well. If we can ever get some sort of a run game going we’ll be nasty
Spoke to everyone about the Buc's D all wk Coach, no one understood what I was trying to explain until post-game, and then I get all the 'Ahhhh's', lol. This was defiantly our biggest test aside from the Chiefs, and the Buc's D is better than theirs. Quite a sublime learning day for Sam to be sure, you could see the frustration in his eyes after almost every play. He'll be ready next time. Great vid, as always. ETA: I don't care how good you are , EVERY rookie needs to get schooled, just like every man needs to get punched in the face at least once, lol. My Boy got some schoolin that game, he'll be better for it.
Agree. David played a spectacular game, and LePorta had some good moments as well. It will end up being a good thing, regardless of how slowed he was by the injury. Did you check out my preview for the Bucs Defense? I stopped watching film after one game because I saw what I needed to. They can play.
I don't think LaPorta was fully healthy, but I also think Montgomery getting hurt and the resulting lack of a run game hurt him more. The Lions are great at using play action, and that opens up space for LaPorta.
Love your content. I think the injury did hamper him a little, but remember everyone he is just a ROOKIE he is going to get better and you said it best going against a classy solid linebacker is only going to elevate his game play as he learns and grows as a great football player.
It seemed like they kept thinking they had a mismatch against David. Big Sam had a great day against one of the best cover linebackers I have seen on a bum calf.
Good analysis. He needs to get healthy for the playoffs. Campbell has been juggling the roster keeping player healthy. I would not be surprise if DC rested Laprta this week against Ravens. Wright had an impact last week, I think you'll see more of him this week against Baltimore, more of Gibbs and more of Jameson Williams this week.
THe injury was calf...not an ankle. On your breakdown on LaPorta doing a backside dig at about 10 yards it was 2nd down. On the 3rd down was the bomb to Ja-Mo. Love the content
Another great top notch video man. My view of La Porta is still the same, dudes legit. He just went on a 5 game streak of being at least the top 3 tight end in the NFL to start his rookie career, and he had his first "bad" game against what I expect to be a top 10 NFL defense. He's only going to get better from this game too. I'm as excited for the ravens game as i was for the start of the year. I need to see what my Lions can do against an uber talented Ravens defense, especially without David Montgomery. If the Lions cans win at the Ravens, against a top 3 defense, against an explosive offense with a running QB, annnnd without their bellcow ace David Montgomery, i have to start considering a superbowl run lol.
Without a run game we see Laporta perform in a true extended passing situation. I think with full health he gets 2-4 more catches, maybe another 40-50 yards. I’m not concerned with his performance considering the strength of the Bucs. He catches that drop around 5:00 next year if he keeps improving as he has.
I appreciate the caveat. There's a question every lions fan is asking right now, I think. "Is LaPorta as good as we thought?" He played through 5 like he could be the next gronk, Kelce, kittle. He got hit with the drop big last week and was good for like 4 for 40 on what felt like a dozen targets. Is that regression to the means, is that a growing pain, is that the defense, is it the injury, is he what we thought he was through 5. We're all hoping it was a bad day + injury but who isn't banged up 6 games in. We found other ways to win but this was super disappointing. Everybody has bad games though. Look at burrow's first 4 or whatever. I appreciate your content. I can't say I'm wishing you guys luck on Saturday. I don't like Lamar. However, thanks for doing what you're doing.
@@adgee5401 never played it in my life genius. Didn't watch football the past few years. I'm just familiar with sports. I remember linsanity. I remember Quentin Berry. Hell, I can look at Craig Reynolds right now. I'm familiar with the notion that sometimes players play above their level. Sigh, it's super annoying when people who aren't that smart think they are.
Just from the broadcast, it was clear to see that LePorta vs David was one of the top-tier matchups that game.

Great video as always, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
I do believe Laporta was not 100%. That injury probably hurt his cuts and quickness. The Bi week can’t come soon enough.
Agree. He still was able to make some plays, just not with the efficiency that we have seen thus far.
@@all_22_films thanks Coach.
It wasn’t a calf strain, it was Lavonte. He locked up Kelce in the Super Bowl too. Man is a HOFer and deserves his credit.
He played great. Absolutely deserves credit.
Right. He still got used by the ROOK. 😉

Detroits 2023 draft is pretty amazing. Love the review. Again learning is enlightenment.

Agree. He acquitted himself well at times. And struggled on others. Thank you for checking this one out.

I expect this game to only make LePorta better. Ton of talent and ability to make plays.
Love the Player vs Player is a great concept, hope to see more of these. Let's Go Lions!
Thank you. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do these, but I might try to produce some more. Maybe in the preview videos for this week.

LaPorta had a calf strain! Thanks again for the breakdown! Tampa Bays defense played great!!!
They definitely do. Just a smart and aggressive Defense.
Lions had two offensive linemen out: Jonah Jackson and Vaitai.
I thought so . Thanks. Couldn't think of the name of the second OLineman out.
@@all_22_films Love the content btw. Keep it up.

Yeah but, that David guy is pretty damned good. Not many LB's can cover a dude like LaPorta
Great player. I hope to do another film study video on him this season. Thank you for checking out the video.
im here just to hear you pronounce laporta 😆
LOL. Thanks.

For future reference, its LaPorta not Leporta. Love the breakdowns, keep them coming.

LaPorta has an injured CALF muscle. ANKLE is all well. Tuesday mid nite info
La Porta was out with a calf strain
No he wasn’t.
Lol this vid literally has film of him playing
The video is literally a breakdown of him playing Sunday!!???
lol ik the videos not even out yet but you think you could do a video on the Seahawks and how they could get more out of JSN?
