Only discovered this on RUclips a few years back. Had some wonderful times gigging with these lovely people. I'm playing the TRUMPET on this! Very proud to have been involved! Tony Trumpet. x
I’ve become quite good friends with Euros Rowlands over the past few years and I treasure the Spanish Dance Troupe t-shirt that was given to me by Euros Childs when Gorky’s played in San Francisco in the ‘90s. The trumpet sounds fantastic!
One of my favourite songs of all time. I really think these guys were taping into something special. their whole catalogue is littered with little known gems. Love this band
I discovered this song when found it written down in one of my dad's old notebooks. I only discovered it 8 years after he passed away, now an adult with ever foggier childhood memories of him. Me being able to listen to and conenct with the song on first listen the same way he did was really special. I felt like he was listening with me.
I was looking for this music for years, i remember to had recorded from MTV this video and i loose the tape. I tried on internet years and years typing the part of the music that i remembered, but no sucess. Then today this song was on playlist alternative 90's created by spotify. I'm so happy!
first heard this song many years ago on the radio while taking a coach through Wales. I managed to tape part of it (I said it was a long time ago) but the reception went just as the DJ said who it was and so for years I was asking bemused record shop owners for a record by Spanish Dance Troop. great to hear the whole song clearly. Thanks for uploading this.
I was a massive fan also, I had the pleasure of playing with The Super Furries and The Boo Radleys....I think it was the furries connection that hooked me up with the gorky's..x
this is exactly the kind of video i expected to go with this kind of song lol. this is the one tune i'll never get tired of. thanks euros, thanks gorky's. pure magic.
It's a great song! The band all playing their instruments as it should be. Just heard it on Radio 6 Music tonight 13 April 2023. The band from Anglesey, Wales 1999. All I remember is Y2K computer bug where OS programmers left out the 19 and just used the last 2 digits for year and all computers had to have the bug fixed. Haha. funny times. It's a lovely song and great animation video. I am from Wales, and love a good band like this making a memorable song that is already 24 years old and sounds fresh and great now.
I still don't know whether in the song he left school six years before the minimum leaving age to join a Spanish dance troupe or left school as soon as he could to join it and then returned at the age of 22.

brilliant work, mate! one of my big 90's favs, and the horn really makes it shine.
Good trumpet! This track reminds me of a wonderful Spanish holiday ... many thanks.
Lovely! A personal favorite of mine.

Somehow only 'discovered' this band today after reading a recommendation from the band Stornoway. Beautiful stuff!
Nice trumpet playing! I did the animation for this.
Wow! Fantastic xx

First heard this song on the radio in the freezer of a fish packing plant I worked in. Transfixed, I was.

Best song in history, love gorkys, want to visit wales someday
very pretty little country, does rain but greener for that.
They were making music like this while they were still teenagers. Great band, and hugely underrated.
Well not quite. Euros Childs was 24 when the album was first released in 1999.
Awesome band, different and Welsh, this and the patio song amongst others, top tunes.
this is exactly the kind of video i expected to go with this kind of song lol. this is the one tune i'll never get tired of. thanks euros, thanks gorky's. pure magic.
The more you listen the better it is. Magic
most under appreciated band in my opinion, still listen to them know when I need a pick me up. great melodies and lyrics.
listening to this right after the euro 2024 final. banger song from a banger band!
I'm in china now, missing my home, Wales. Awesome music. Kinda reminds me of pavement a bit
I always here delgados songs in my head when I listen
tidy
One of my favourite tunes of all time and super Video - Poetry....
Grandísimo grupo y buenísima canción.
Love. I cry every time. Every time.
Stunning ❤️
Crazy text, hypnotic rhythm - should have won the Eurovision song fest in it's time
And the video is as cheesey as the text - but still love it, lol
Cracking tune from a cracking band.
Wooooooo hoooooooo Wooo Hooo Hoo Hoooooo Woo Hoo!
They had the most eccentric moshpit. Hands in pockets one second, manic the next. And so on

Barafundle dei Gorky's è uno dei 10 migliori album degli anni 90. Se non lo conoscete Sentitelo.

One of the best Earthling songs
Love this song and video!

🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
the hymn for catita
🛌
Class name btw
Cute.
my mum dated one of the guys lmao
omg which one
We need details
Me encanta la banda, pero la letra y sobre todo el videoclip, están lleno de tópicos y reduccionismos absurdos sobre España. Tirón de orejas.
A mi me parece muy acercado a la real españa 🤔🤔
Not gonna lie heard this from a utube video jesus died in japan as their background music...
Does anyone know the artist who made this video? It's brilliant.
Maybe Gerald Conn & William Brown?
Yes that’s right, I made the video and William Brown created the artwork.
Gerald Conn Beautiful work 👏
Great work!!!!
@@geraldconn5396 wunderschön!
