Ah. The legacy of the Beaching/marples effect. A town void of railway infrastructure. And no trace of the vast marshalling yard. No trace of the station or locomotive depot.

Hello Geoff, I would just like to mention that Woodfords railway closure was only recommended by the Beeching report it’s closure was actually implemented by Barbara Castle of the Labour Government, the railways freight traffic was actually making a profit but the passenger traffic a big loss.
