The easiest way to cut a cake into layers is by using floss. =) Just a tip for next time.

yea but you need a giant piece of floss to do it so yea I could be using it for my teeth ya know but good idea there is another tool for that though
Its better to use cake liner but if you don't have any cake liner you can use floss
Justine I have a tip if you don't know how to get egg whites only crack an egg in a small bowl take a freshly cleaned water bottle and put it on the yolk and squeeze and there you have it

Justine, if you crumb coated it first, then the decorations would look better. Crumb coating is when you put frosting on it then put in in the fridge for 15 minutes, then re-frosted it an it would hold up better!!!!🎂

They actually did... Making a layered cake like that is hard for those who don't have a good experience in the baking side of the kitchen. Specially if you're using box cake and pre made frosting.
Okay...but if you can't see that they are capable and could have done way better I don't know what to tell you. They aren't that uncoordinated and dumb.

Im sure you would be able to make that cake as the picture but I fell like youre purpously messing it up.
lol.. the sad part is we did try. Mistakes that were made: 1) Didn't leave in freezer long enough / 2) Used too big of a pan / 3) Used way too much icing / 4) Someone told us to use floss to cut the cakes! Brilliant! Next time we'll be ready.

A tip would to be to freeze the cake so it won't fall apart it will also make it easier to cut and u wont have as much crums

do a crumb coat first and then freeze it. it seals all the crumbs. then you add more frosting over it.
