Agree. Ric was such a talented songwriter & musician but I think he envied Ben's extraordinary voice - and his charisma. And Ben, always stood back to let others shine. Not the type to hog the limelight. Didn't get the recognition he deserved.

Ben seemed like a pretty easygoing guy who was happy to go along with whatever Rick wanted - playing base despite preferring rhythm guitar & sharing the lead singer role despite having a much better voice. By every report, Ben was a humble, generous guy - his walking back into the shadows every time Elloit played a solo fits with that.
